None, I got hired because of experience and education + interviews + code assignments done both at home and on-site

Will a person actually call me or is it a bot? My autism is kicking in so hard and I need a fucking Twitter account.

it's a bot
do you really think they're going to pay someone $10 an hour to phone up people and tell them a five digit code?

Pajeet and Rajes will do it for 2 cents an hour.

Currently using Antergos with Gnome on my notebook and the battery lasts not even half as long as with the former Windows 7 installation. TLP helps a bit but not much, really. I am looking for a reasonable balance between performance and battery life, which Linux distro (with which DE) would you guys recommend?
>>58337902
Vem är den här spermademonen?
Also

Found your problem
Install Arch with i3
I use the same and my battery lasts for 10 hours. I use GDM instead of lightdm and the Linux-Zen kernel instead of vanilla so maybe that's what you need to do.

Is FreeNAS just a meme?
I've got a gigabit local network all around, my main box to serve up NFS shares to VMs, a target of Veeam backups, and legally owned multimedia server is running Windows Server 2012 R2 (core) with 16GB ECC RAM and a dual 10/100/1000 pcie NIC that is teamed active-active.
Storage is 12x3TB HDDs and 6x500GB SSDs +boot SSD. Am I not making the best of my situation? Can I get more throughout, iops, anything from switching to open sores
It's pretty neat if you can get it up and running. My motherboard didn't like ZFS when they switched to ZFS boot partitions.
>>58337659
I like that there's a webui for administration, if I could find a decent front end for bangblows I would do it. Just curious if there's any real benefit to it. Ive got most of my storage behind raid cards so if my OS dies Id retain data integrity for the stuff I care about
>>58337682
Well, it's super easy to set up networked Windows backups through Microsoft's native back program, and OSX Time Machine backups as well. You can enable Samba, Apple Share, and Linux NFS. There are plugins for bit torrent, plex, and all kinds of other stuff. It's worth a look, just make sure your hardware is supported before diving in.

it's like you don't even want robot waifus to happen.
Now that personal assistants are really a thing, would you please help develop Mycroft into a good alternative, because I don't want my robot waifu to report to Amazon every time I last less than 30 seconds.

Why would I want a robot gf when real girls exist?

Alexa data were recently used in court order in US, that to nothing gets recorded
thought about building one myself, but mycroft thing looks interesting, does it do the voice processing completely offline?
How open is it really?

They recently switched from Google's STT to their own, but actual offline STT is still being worked on.

So no new GPUs for 6 months or so?
More like no GPU's worth upgrading to for the next 4 gens.

Thought this place is as good to ask this as any. Applying to uni. Courses seem identical. Need help.

Which is more liked by employers?
Which sounds better?

SE is just a limited version of CS.
What options do I have when buying a domain for adult website, I don't want my name to appear whenever someone decides to check my site
Virtually every domain seller offers a paid "privacy" upgrade that hides personal information from public WHOIS records. The information given to the seller must still be accurate, so it can be submitted to IANA.
It won't hide you completely - the seller probably still follows court orders, but it's not that easy to get to it any more.
Out of curiosity, what kind of adult content do you intend to publish?
>>58339462
Not sure, maybe just photos. Or maybe I'll turn it into an app eventually
There are some registars allowing you anonymous owing a domain though their prices are probably higher than usual.
Fuck this site and it's new design!
I can't listen to any audio. Every time when I click play, it loads and redirects me to it's homepage. And when I go back to the page the audio still loads. And there is no option to switch to the old interface.

I want to learn about electronics and electronic devices. The problem is that there does not seem to be a book with a good balance of practical application and physical/mathematical background.
EE books for university start with 500 pages of complex ac calculus, if I didn't know better I'd say their focus is to teach you multi-variable integration. Now after working through these 500 pages (I gave up after about 150 out of boredom) I'd still have no idea wtf I am looking at when standing in front of a board or a power supply.
Now on the other hand there are books for electricians and electricians in training. I've looked through these and the level is so low that most of them don't even mention Coulomb's law.
So please, are there any balanced books that don't force me to go through 500 pages of math (don't misunderstand me, I have a CS background so I'm not afraid of math) before I'm allowed to design and analyze simple circuits?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIhk9eKOLzQ
Here's what unbalanced EE education did to students.
>>58337212
There's a lot of stuff out there that will enable you build simple/somewhat complex circuits. If you really want to understand what you're doing - especially if you're getting into analog circuitry - you need to get the background.
>>58337321
I understand what you mean, however I have the feeling that the textbooks are trying to teach you ALL of the background first before teaching you about amazingly simple things. I'd understand better if there was a way to learn the theory as you go.

console games look like shit up close. especially when you're playing them upscaled (IE: 1600x900 game on a 1080p monitor). i've done it before with a 360, it blows.
do yourself a favor and either build a PC if you want to have your nose pressed up against the screen, or buy a TV and sit back
