Why is everyone so mad at Apple about the iPhone not having a headphone jack?

Is it safe to use 'loader' programmes like the Windows 7 one by DAZ and others or should I just purchase a license key for W7 like a law-abiding person? Keys on eBay last for around 4 months or so before the OS catches on to its own counterfeited nature.
