can't u just help me ?
i'm not asking much
So I want to build a PC based on the mini-STX form factor. The problem is that right now there are only 3 motherboards on the market: ASUS H110S1/S2, Asrock H110M-STX and ECS H110S-2P. I don't particularly like any of them, especially because there's no thunderbolt 3 port if I want to eventually attach an eGPU and there's very few USB ports.
My question is, are more mini-STX motherboards to be expected soon? I know this is still a niche market but I'm not sure if it will catch on or die out in 2017. They first showed up in Jan 2016 but there hasn't been much talk about them since then. What do you think? Should I build it now or wait?
>>58404054
Just get a Intel nuc
>>58404083
You're pretty much limited to the U line processors on the NUCs, not to mention they're usually not replaceable, whereas on a mini-stx board you can put any processor up to 65W
This fills an even more niche gap between Mini ITX and NUC so it's unlikely to get much bigger.
You're basically going to have to look for any new announcements from CES and Computex
Seamonkey is perfect except of ...
nah, it's pretty bad
for starters you can't use tree style tabs
>>58404053
Lack of fullcreen, developer tools, and probably a few other things that I did not discover yet. It's good overall, the interface is really nice, but the above issues are a no-go for me. I'll wait, maybe some day they'll get implemented.

Will i be completely anonymous, /g/?
Never
you'll never get rid of all the spyware on windows 10 and google still has a chip in your brain and a probe up your ass anyway
Anonymous, perhaps. Untrackable? Untracked? Unrecorded? Safe from the botnet?
On windows anything?
No.
If you want an anonymous experience then buy some second hand laptop, rip out the hard drive, and use tails. Take it to anywhere with unsecured WiFi and wear a hat or mask.
Best you can do in the west senpai.

10GbE is on the horizon for home computing. Top tier consumer shit is just starting to get it.
http://www.anandtech.com/show/10501/consumer-10gbase-t-options-motherboards-with-10g-builtin
I'm tired of spinning up my web dev VMs and housing my RAID arrays and mechanical disk data storage on my workstation. I think I'm going to go back to having a dedicated home server again.
Anyone have any recommendations for some new or used NICs and switches for 10GbE? Price is a concern, so cheap older gear is fine. I'd rather run copper than fiber for distance reasons (like 100ft run across my house to another room), so SFP+ fiber stuff doesn't seem viable.
Recommendations?

You'd be better off spending that money on something that can actually saturate 1Gbp/s

I posted in thinkpad general but didn't get a response...
I bought a T530 on ebay and I'm wondering if I did good or if the seller is suspect/the model is actually trash etc.
ebay.com/itm/291987726564
Also been slightly bothering me that I can't figure out if this particular model of T530 has a backlit keyboard or not, and if the included SSD is Samsung of Lenovo.
If your laptop doesn't do this, it's trash tier.

Repeat with me: don't update it what works.
Let's be honest here
OSX is the only OS that has no practical value whatsoever. If it stopped existing all of a sudden one day, no one would care.
>Windows
Professional content creators use windows
Office tasks and desktops are on windows
Gamers use windows
A few Servers run on windows
>Linux
IT, sysadmins use Linux
Supercomputers, embedded chip and Android runs on Linux
Linux and FreeBSD has top quality emulation technology
Majority of Servers run on Linux
>Mac OSX
Tech illiterate hipsters that need a shiny facebook machine need OSX
Unironically faggots use OSX even Apple CEO is a faggot and steve jobs was a smelly hipster who thought taking shower is not necessary (Not kidding)
Find me ONE reason that validates OSX's existence
PROTIP: You can't

>kaby lake has nothing better than skylake

on the bright side 200 series motherboards are skylake compatible at least, so you can have 3 m.2 ssds on the board instead of on a bulky pcie card
>>58403260
>they didn't even upgrade the integrated graphics
Didn't they add full 10-bit HEVC decoding to their integrated GPUs?
>>58403260

Leave it to the idiot to not understand the difference in performance and capacity between the two form factors.
