>already installed libreboot on my x200 a few months ago
>get all needed tools together(rpi, thermal paste, pomona 5252 clip, cables, ifixit kit)
>disassemble t500 while setting up rpi
>realise that my t500 has a soic-8 chip which needs a pomona 5250 clip
>check if i can attach the pomona 5252 clip
>works
>connect cables
>start rpi
>rpi won't start
>disconnect 3.3V cable
>rpi starts
>check if everything is connected correctly
>maybe the rpi has not enough power to use 3.3V output
>use arduino for 3.3V
>rpi works
>flashrom fails
>check everything again
>flashrom still fails
>test the setup on my x200
>works
>reassembly t500
>order pomona 5250 clip
>start shitposting

entire day wasted

Anyone else just.. not a fan of this new trend? reddit did this last year with their upvotes counter, and now YouTube is doing it with their new desktop design.

You can still inspect element to see the full likes or dislikes, but still. I like data to be right there, I don't like it hidden.

Which Android distribution for x86 computers do work and are safe? I need one for a laptop as secondary boot os.

Remix OS and Lineage OS are pre-installed by some Chinese manufacturers but I'm a bit suspicious of data security and they seem quite buggy.

i'm writing a short story based on some weird experiences i had as a teenager in the mid 2000's on a couple rizon chats about rom hacks and translations. i was kind of curious what the privacy environment was like in IRC chats around 2002-2006 or so.

obviously something like mirc is going to keep logs on your machine, but was it common for channels to keep logs, maybe not for general chats but among communal projects like rom hacks? would those logs still be around, and what kind of privileges would be necessary to access them?

A while back I slammed my brakes on the highway, and it seemed like my brakes gave out. I had to push the pedal all the way to the floor to feel anything, but they still worked, as long as I basically floored the brakes

well today my truck felt the same, my brakes suddenly gave out, and I have to push the brake all the way to the floor to stop, and even then it doesnt stop very quickly.

Its at the mechanic now, but what is going on? I always thought it leaked all the brake fluid and some sort of backup cable mechanism was operating it or something. I guess thats not a thing? If I truly ran out of fluid, would the car be able to stop at all using the brakes?
