I need to find cheap electricity... free electricity is even better.
Anything that is cost effective, e.g. a rental/storage space with a power drop or siphoned electric from a light socket are fair game.
Share with me your secrets of high power computing/mining/cracking on the cheap.

I have iPod Nano 4GB version that I use for jogging. It will be 11 years old soon. Battery is still at 70% and still lasts me for at least 1:30min.
I jog with it every other day or so. I've dropped it dozens of times on concrete. It has small dings on the side but the screen is perfect and button works perfectly.
I love it so damn much.
PS: I bought that Sansa Clip thing last year as a backup but never use it because of the shit UI. It's garbage.
Picture unrelated, I assume?
Do you guys agree that PC gaming has taken the wrong turn in aesthetics in recent years? Almost anything that has the word "gaming" attached to it would have the following:
>tons of RGB lighting
>odd, over the top shaping
>coloured accents between seams
>cheap plastic decors with zero practical applications
>lots of glass
I don't know how this trend started, but is this really the sort of crap PC gamers are into? Of cause, I'm talking generalities here, because I'm a PC gamer and I don't identify with this garbage. But surely, companies won't put out products that aren't marketable? Or, do they simply assume us PC gamers all look like fat fucking nerds?
It's gotten so bad, even people at CES are talking about it:

It stops being socially acceptable to play video games after you turn 15. If you consider yourself an """adult""" yet you identify as a PC """gamer""", I have some news for you.

You could overclock an fx63xx to match an Ivy bridge i5 in performance while paying the same price as an i3, or slightly less.

I decided to upgrade my cpu from an Intel Pentium G3220 to an I3 4160. I think it's going to be one of my biggest regrets.
Being on a budget I have an MSI-H81M-P33 MB with a Geforce GTX 750ti and HAD x2 4gb memory.
I waited a week to get my new I3 I was like a kid on christmas morning unpacking it. Got that bitch in there and booted her up.
>No signal
You fucking whore.
Long story short I can only run 4gb of memory now because for some reason my DIMM2 works but if I put a stick of ram in there I get "No signal" on my monitor.
I've tried everything the internet has to offer for this problem from CMOS cleaning to resetting the MB and updating BIOS to no avail. So for the next 2 weeks I'm rocking 4gb of memory until my 8gb module gets here.
Anyone else got stories of horrendously shooting themselves in the foot with upgrades?
>Bottleneck
>Wrong socket type
>Unsupported ram
You only have yourself to blame.

yo /g/, ive had terrible luck with wired and wireless mice. Cables fray on the former and the latter cant seem to stop bouncing around when gaming.
I'm looking for a wireless mouse with two side buttons. Thats it. But just as importantly it should be as reliable and precise as a wired mouse. If I could have a M500 minus the cable and minus the wireless problems, it would be perfect.
thanks in advance pals.
Ma master
I'll post it again: my wrist has been hurting. Apparently these fix it. Redpill me.
For desktop, or laptop?
I use Logitech Anywhere MX. works on glass, mirror, pants, anywhere. has navigation buttons
desktop I have a Corsair M65. Its an excellent mouse, and comes in wireless too
Is there a distro better than Gentoo?
