It's already the year 2017.
Why do you still block ads?
That said. If you still block ads, you have ten seconds to post why you do.
Excuses like these will only get you nowhere, especially if you're on a stable connection ;
- Adware/Malware/Spyware. Sure, the exception's there if you're dumb/stupid to enough to infect yourself somehow.
- "I don't like ads"
- Page load times.
- "YouTube ads" are basically useless excuses now. You're either smart or dumb enough to not download YouTube videos and watch them in your preferred qualities and resolutions in your preferred media player(s) and likely dumb enough to not have autoplay disabled somehow. YouTube Red is basically YouTube ad-free, you've no excuse to even use your ad blocker here anymore.
What's your excuse this time, /g/?
Get out of this board right fucking now and never come back you disgusting piece of shit.
You stop pushing malware, pop-ups and autoplay video through ad services; I'll stop blocking ads. Until then, fuck you.
Blah blah pull medium blah blah
Are newer laptop models becoming progressively more difficult to maintain/repair on purpose?
>Difficult teardown to access internal component
>wielded parts
>Glued pieces
Not to mention newer laptop aesthetics.
>Island keyboard
>All in one touchpad
>>58439487
Yes. Let's not forget, they get easier to steal, even with 3 screens.
I have a few older laptops I use and even the normies consumer models still had easily accessible internal parts and hard drives.
Depends on the model.
Bought this last year, unscrewing a single screw lets you access most stuff.
The touchpad is shit, but I don't use that anyway.
In macOS, when I close a window why does it still take up space in alt-tab when alt-tabbing to it does nothing?

It often tends to be, but some people on here found it really funny so I figured it'd qualify for your quality thread.

It's spelled "sageta," as "sage" refers to "下げる" (sageru), which is Japanese for "to lower." The past tense form of this word is "下げた." It does not refer to the plant, as many people still seem to think. Just remember that this is an anime website, and you should remember the rest.

How do you feel about this?
eBay is asking its users in Canada to petition the Canadian federal government to raise the amount Canadians can import for personal use without having tariff assessed on the item from the current C$20 to a unspecified, much higher amount.
eBay's letter claims Americans are allowed to import up to US$800 (~C$1050) without being assessed for tariff.
How do you feel about this?
eBay would obviously benefit greatly from this since Canadian customers would buy more from eBay's overseas sellers.
All tariffs should be genocided. A global economy to drive down prices is literally the only good thing about globalism.
There should be no tariffs at all.

Can /g/ come up with a business plan for a FOSS program that doesn't involve begging donations or selling support?
Can you come up with a business plan for proprietary software that doesn't involve charging for copies, ads, or selling support?
Why does it have to be a bussiness, rather than independent developers hired by other companies to work on said project because they use that open source software?
100% GPL'd original software embedded on the devices we ship. People can modify or even outright replace the software on them, or they can improve the software and upsell them (but if they do, we can incorporate their improvements into our own machines to stay competitive)
Just replaced my mother board (the ram slots died) how should i destroy this thing?
