Good workstation.

Hey /g/ents I'm fighting an ISP right now; with a residential account shouldn't I be able to make an outbound connection to port 25? This faggot ISP just recently caught me running an email server from this IP and has blocked 25 in or out and I am trying to play innocent and being like all the sudden i can't send emails wtf. So far everyone I have talked to literally thinks I only need port 80 for the internet (they said this)... I am working my way up to a network tech.

I am actually innocent though I was only doing come basic testing and wasn't running a botnet or spamhaus.

Please help /g/.

You'll have to read their TOS and not just assume if you think its right or wrong
>>
>>62175552
Is it ever against TOS to connect out to SMTP servers? I mean I'm sure it can be but is that usual for an ISP?

Sup /g/ you neck beard fuckers.

Currently using Ubuntu 16.04 and Windows 10. I wanna go full OPSEC and I need some help. I'm using a VPN and TOR to browse on the web torrent all that shit. So tell me what are some other ways to protect myself from the NSA

>inb4 bow down to the jew

I've had my camera covered on my laptop for over a year now. What else do I need to do? I know at a certain point I can't escape the NSA. I'm alright with that. But how to I not leave myself so vulnerable.

Willing to change OS's disconnect my hardware mic so that when I wanna speak to someone I just pug my headset or earbuds in.

No way to be fully free anymore unless you use retroware. Even with a full freedom linux, your processor has a botnetyou can't remove.
>>
>>62175424
Opsec isn't about the tech its about what you do. Never let any information leak between different identities.

>>62175484
That's not wrong but it is misleading. Attacking a machine by planting malicious firmware is a very difficult thing to do. Unless he's being individually targeted he doesn't have to worry about it. Even if he is, he has lines of defense ahead of that. Your argument is a bit like saying "Well, [Russia, China, Israel, etc] has nukes, better not bother having a military or any defense at all, they can just blow us away"

>get xfce desktop minimal
>boots up with no problems and is completely barebones with no bloat
>everything also just works because ubuntu minimal only installs what is needed for a system to run
>download and install everything that I normally use through the terminal
>even after finished my system runs at idle using only about 300mb of ram and is fast and snappy as hell
>also boots up in about 2 seconds
Why do you not use ubuntu minimal? It pleases those with raging computer autism that NEED everything to be exactly right while also ensuring you don't need to put yourself through the pain and suffering of configuring gentoo or arch like a fucking aspie.

Ubuntu Minimal is quite honestly perfect.

The solution is not switching to a different video site, its abandoning video as a format, in favor of text and images.

Who uses Dailymotion? What videos are being watched on there?

To anyone that actually still uses pmps are they worth it? Is the battery life and audio experience that much better than a modern cell phone? Kind of interested in picking something up
81 posts and 15 images submitted.
>>
Audio is a matter of diminishing returns, I would say portable audio is definitely unable to rival a solid home setup, so it depends on how anal you want to be. Phone audio is definitely ok, I suggest you get a good earpiece before considering a music player.

Got a shanling m1 the other week. I just wanted something separate from my phone for battery reasons.

The sound quality is probably better but only because I'm willing to store more on the pmp and I'm not streaming anything.

Not a lifechanger but whatever.

anyways here are the steps

>make api key https://api.data.gov/
>get key from email
>open up curl and type this in to upload a file (replace <key> with key above and test.pdf with the file yadda yadda yadda)
curl -i -F name=test.pdf -F [email protected] https://publicapi.fcc.gov/ecfs/fileupload?api_key=<key>

>copy the "FileName" {"fileName":"DOC-578d76ce8a400000-X.pdf"}
>paste at end of this url https://ecfsapi.fcc.gov/file/

end result should be https://ecfsapi.fcc.gov/file/DOC-578d76ce8a400000-X.pdf

So I've been wanting to build a Ryzen 5 1500X machine since it hit shelves so I could test it against my i7-3770K clock for clock. But now I would just want something to game with.
I would get an Athlon X4 950 because its a 3.5Ghz quad core for only $60.
I would go for a Ryzen 3 1200 because its suitable for my 1080p needs.
I would go for a Ryzen 5 1500X so I could replace my i7 for when/if I get back into CPU bound tasks.

Any idea how well the APU's perform relative to Ryzen 3's?

These APUs are not Zen based. They use a CPU architecture from 2011, dont buy.

Is anyone using this?

Looks ok. It seems pretty vanilla but it also looks much nicer (imo) than ubuntu gnome / unity, so why doesn't this get shilled as hard for more "normal" users?
