Anybody wanna help me out here?
i bought a corsair hx850 PSU a couple of years ago and it recently started making noise whenever the fan comes on. So i went online to see if i could RMA it and i need a receipt which i dont have.
anybody happen to have a receipt for this exact model i could use? or at least know of a way to get around this?

Can't we accept each OS has its benefits?
I'm not a macfag and even I know it's a good programming environment.
No, my choice in OS is clearly superior.

If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™
Recommended models:
T420 - 14", normal size
X220 - 12.5", ultraportable
----
Why ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap.
>Excellent keyboards - tactile feel and quiet.
>Great durability: chassis uses a magnesium rollcage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels.
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models.
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing in the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.

OSX is the only OS that has no practical value whatsoever. If it stopped existing all of a sudden one day, no one would care.
>Windows
Professional content creators use windows
Office tasks and desktops are on windows
Gamers use windows
A few Servers run on windows
>Linux
IT, sysadmins use Linux
Supercomputers, embedded chip and Android runs on Linux
Linux and FreeBSD has top quality emulation technology
Majority of Servers run on Linux
>Mac OSX
Tech illiterate hipsters that need a shiny facebook machine need OSX
Unironically faggots use OSX even Apple CEO is a faggot and steve jobs was a smelly hipster who thought taking shower is not necessary (Not kidding)

What isn't one, then?
I've decided I'm gonna take up programming as a side hobby so I can learn ROS, mainly working on Ubuntu
Does anyone have any tips for a newb to increasing the efficiency of my learning/developing? I'm trying to make my way around the system and having to use the bash shell to run/open everything is hell
help
Books and google you lazy faggot
>>58503786
Ubuntu has a file explorer, you can use it.
Altough many on /g/ will say use terminal only it's fine if your starting out.
Just get a good IDE, books/courses/lecture slides.
Try to apply what you learn, as soon as you learn it.
ROS used to be a bitch to get into because there's little explanation of everything, and they assume you're already pretty much a programmer in the docs/official tutorial.

I'm going mad and i have nowhere to turn to, please help.
i bought pic related today, the asus vg245H. i plugged it in, put my pc and xbox hdmi cables in and it worked, i checked for stuck pixels/deadpixels and it was clean. i started up my xbox one, and then boom, a red pixel out of nowhere, i went back to my hdm1 to check if it was there to now and it was.
this same thing happend with the benq rl2455 monitor i bought 2 weeks ago, returned that one for the same reason.
so what's causing the stuck pixel, is it my Xbox One S?
>>58503738
Pixels can get stuck after the image changes on the screen. Your Xbox probably caused it by using the monitor, but it isn't really the fault of the Xbox but rather just the monitor.
Nice job, welcome to the stuck pixel squad. Enjoy (hate, fucking hate) your stay
>>58503860
the thing is, the xbox never caused any stuck pixels to my 720p duel hdmi tv, or my old 1ms single hdmi asus monitor. i'm returning this shit right away, am i just having shit luck with $300 monitors?
bump ;_;
How long until computer monitors are phased out by TVs?
TVs already look better, they just dont have good response times or refresh rates (sometimes). If they made TVs with good response times and refresh rates then you would have no reason to buy a $600 computer monitor when you could buy a tv and use it as both a tv and monitor.
>>58503684
>Assuming I don't use my computer monitor as a TV

what the fuck are you talking about
are you asking why we don't use TV's at desktop computers?
or why we don't hook up desktops to living room TV's
