Everyone makes some shit quality monitor without a height adjustable stand, but will give it a horrible rounded glossy finish.

tips to get the most out of plex? just fucking found this amazin software
i need to catch up on kino
>>58516923
You will need storage. LOTS of storage. Currently, the best deal on space is the 16TB WD MyBook on Amazon. You can shuck it and put the two 8TB drives in a computer, if you want, and it doesn't even completely void the warranty.
>>58516923
Plex is pretty decent. I wish the mobile app was better for listening to music but otherwise I'm pretty pleased with it.
>>58517048
>16TB WD MyBook
Fuck why?
OP, just buy a large, well-reviewed internal hard drive and toss it in your case with the others. Duplicate it if you want a backup and maybe add another fan if you want.
I've got two 6TB drives sitting in my tower doing their job.
If you have a smaller machine or you're running off a raspberrypi or something, go with something like this. They work fine so long as you go USB3.
>my computer isn't working
>So what's not working?
>My main computer under the table but the laptop is fine
>So it doesn't turn on or what?
>Yeah, it doesn't work
>But does it just not turn on?
>Not really but sometimes the screen has like lines on it so maybe it's just the monitor?
>Have you tried it with another monitor?
>Not yet, but the laptop works fine
>Umm, do you mind if I have a look at it?
>No, sure, it's in the other room
>Walk in
>It's an iMac
>Under the table there is no computer, just the cardboard box it came in
>Walk out
>new feature of work portal is memorable word
>most people get on with it fine
>one person having real difficulty
>colleague spends 30 mins trying to help, escalated to me
>repeatedly reset her credentials because it just wouldn't work
>After 20 mins get fed up and set the word myself (against policy)
>tell her the exact letters to type, suddenly works
>"Oh you had to type the letters of the word? I understand now"
>"Why what where you entering?"
>"I entered 2, 4 and 7 like it asked"
>"What, the numbers?"
>"Yeah haha"
>I hang up and consider jumping out of a window
>>58519321
>2, 4 and 7 like it asked
what
>>58519941
They obviously have some code where you spell out the 3 numbers

How is this even a question, you're on /g/
Thinkpad ofcourse

>>58517037
> faster
nope, macbook has a much faster GPU and basically the same CPU
> upgradeable
Only RAM and SSD, you can't upgrade the GPU
> GNU/Linux
MacOS is Unix, and you can easily install GNU on it too.
> Cheaper
True, but not by much. Also it's bigger, heavier and has a shitty build quality.
What are you working on, /g/?

Don't worry, most of the people in tech world have no brains or knowledge just money.
Find something that you are good in. Make impact there.
Otherwise buy stocks of new promising companies.

Asked in the last thread but will try again here.
I'm deciding between 2 knives, the Ganzo G727m or G729. If I am indifferent about the look, is there any reason to pay a few bucks more for the G729? Is the blade or construction known to be any better? The G729 does look slightly more comfortable to hold, anything other than this?

Hello RegularOP. Do you do anything with your day besides camp this general so you can be ready to post a new thread the second the old one hits bump limit? Do you consider this to be a productive use of your time?
What does /g/ think about Wi-Fi Direct? Will it soon replace Bluetooth?
>Wi-Fi Direct, initially called Wi-Fi P2P, is a Wi-Fi standard enabling devices to easily connect with each other without requiring a wireless access point. It is useful for everything from internet browsing to file transfer, and to communicate with one or more devices simultaneously at typical Wi-Fi speeds.
>Wi-Fi Direct can provide a wireless connection to peripherals. Wireless mice, keyboards, remote controls, headsets, speakers, displays and many other functions can be implemented with Wi-Fi Direct. This has begun with Wi-Fi mouse products, and Wi-Fi Direct remote controls that were shipping circa November 2012.
