tell me about nu-/g/
Term made up by individuals who have been here too long and have deluded themselves into thinking that things were 'totally better' when they first came to this site; however, the only reality is that they've grown bored of this site and only relish in complaining about it more than anything else.
Same thing happens to virtually any community..

Looking at this webm, I'd say the finger on the piece of paper is still being sensed by the screen. I don't know iPhones, but I know holding a finger on an Android lock screen at non-interactive areas will be ignored and eventually the screen will turn off. A second finger input could be ignored, similarly to scrolling with a finger overwriting ignoring additional fingers in the scrolled area. Seeing as this is a lock screen, I wouldn't be surprised if they set it up to care for a single touch point, which would again prioritize the first finger.
I'm not saying it's a proof that there's no touch issues with the iPhone, but this short clip doesn't prove anything except for maybe a user finding a "bug".
Repeat after me:

What do you dislike about it?
What was done right?
Will its market share increase or will this so-called "successor" to IE forever be nothing more than a meme?

>What do you dislike about it?
10 exclusive (although necessary as its' benefits come mostly from it being a UWP application), and no VP8 support.
>What was done right?
Almost everything. It's fast, although not as fast as Chrome or FF 57, doesn't hog resources, and has a simple UI that doesn't get in the way.
>Will its market share increase
No, their shitty half-assed rebranding campaign ensured that it will still just be known as IE to everyone despite the fact that it shares absolutely no relation to it beyond the logo.
>>62181066
>good
People who only use the default browser get something decent.
>bad
W10 exclusive, typical microsoft data collection and FUD, lack of extensions and no incentives to create or port them.
my hotel lobby has a tech lounge in it. Of note to me, a long time PC user, is that it has a brand new iMac in it. I decided to give it a go.
I was blown away at how impressive it was. The display was better than anything I’ve seen in a PC. The combination of the 5k 27 inch display, the good quality parts and Retina display made it far better than any PC I’ve seen no matter how expensive. The iMac itself looks great and the operating system is very aesthetic and much more reliable than windows.
Have I been lied to this whole time? Is apple superior?

How do I make sure there are no data left in my computer after shutting down the virtual machine?
>>62180872
>VirtualBox.

Come on I'm a retard.
I want to know how to delete all data just in case.
From what I understand the virtual machine is still there even after Machine>Remove...
On top of that this is not working.
https://www.whonix.org/wiki/VirtualBox claims my IP is from Germany but I'm still banned on /pol/.
How is the connection anonymous is 4chan still knows how I am?
What gives?
I did the WhonixCheck in Whonix-Gateway and updated was asked.
I'm browsing from Whonix-Workstation.
What do you guys think about this?
I like the idea of a decentralized system for video uploads, but I'm doubtful of its ability to stop censorship. Surely they must have a way to remove videos or there would be CP there already. Are we supposed to just trust them? Other than that it suffers from a large lack of content.

Kids only download all these apps to be trendy.
Either that or they do it to get away from their parents on facebook.
I cringe whenever I see oldfags and boomers try to join platforms that aren't facebook,
So a guy allegedly has CP on his drive that is encrypted, but wont give the password to the drive.
If there is a backdoor, then why doesn't the govmnet open the door and look at his hard drive?
<There is no backdoor!
>>62180381
Which backdoor? There isn't a single one.
He probably used Veracrypt, which is open source and does not have said backdoors. If he had used Microsoft's Bitlocker, he would've been fucked.
What I don't get is how do they know he had known CP hashes if his drive is encrypted?
>>62180421
Backdoors:
>cpu backdoor
>MS backdoor
>encryption software hamstring
Every day there is a thread on this site about backdoors, yet most data spills occur via sneakernet or out right physical theft.
>>62180421
I believe it's OS X's builtin encryption.
If there are backdoors it's kind of a double edged sword. Getting in through one reveals its existence. There are actually pedophiles charged through a Tor exploit who were allowed to walk free because the FBI wouldn't give up how the exploit worked. These security holes have more value when used against shit like Iranian centrifuges rather than kiddie fiddlers' laptops.

So I am developing this software which will give access to poor people who can't afford expensive photography equipments and good models a way to display there creativity, basically it will be a live 3d rendering engine same as a 3d game engine. I am still skeptic about the idea since it will take a lot of efforts and I don't know how photography community will react to it.
Just hit printscreen my nigga

They wont care, because
1. You wont have many things to shoot in your program
2. What is the actual point to taking digital photos in the first place
