I want to get an Android device with game streaming capabilities and that has support for a good controller for playing games while on airplanes and hotel rooms when I'm travelling

Anyone got any experience with either?

https://lavabit.com/explain-lavabit.html

There's a limited-time offer to sign up for cheaper access to the new, re-launched Lavabit email service before it launches later this year. This is the service that Snowden used, which shut down rather than reveal their user data to the government.

Sounds very solid, but can this new DIME protocol really remain secure? Has anyone else signed up for this yet? How does it compare to something like Protonmail?
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
I don't understand if the DIME (the ebin Dark Internet Memetic Environment) will be interoperable with standard email accounts

protonmail/tutanota and so on can send and receive mail to normal accounts

from what I see in the specs, only "Trustful" mode uses SMTP, POP and IMAP while "Cautious" and "Paranoid" allegedly do not

also, as far as I've understood, thunderbird will be able to operate with a DIME/Lavabit account only if you're in "Trustful" mode

otherwise you'll have to pick a special snowflake Thunderbird fork called "Volcano" or something
and, as far as I can see, if "Trustful" mode is the way you can inter-operate with well-established mail providers (I'd like a confirm on this), that's no different than trusting $random_guy for your mail; also, it's a step backwards from tutanota's or protonmail's approaches

and don't get me started on this retarded murrica great again thing
>starting a business on US
>AGAIN
>with PATRIOT and whatnot
>under Trump's isolationism
"no"

The misuse of the words "privacy" and "security" in the specs baffles me
The only improvement we need on email is a *definitive* way to get rid of spoofed mail (spf, dkim and dmarc should be a MUST not a SHOULD and servers not enforcing TLS should be blacklisted)
Other than that, email is not meant for privacy - let's just try to make it secure, mmkay?

Anyway, as far as I can see, there's little to zero discussion about email on this filipino transgender subreddit, even if someone keeps making threads on this
>>
Why the fuck wouldn't you just host your own email server at that point

>Why the fuck wouldn't you just host your own email server at that point

How would you get DIME working on your email server exactly?

Is it possible to build a Binary tree in an interpreted language without pointers?

All you're really doing is building a large struct
11 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Of course it is. A big list is the memory space and an integer index in that list the memory pointer.
>>
Yes.
>>
>>58629000
>without pointers
Most possibly you won't be able to place pointers in array in an interpreted language directly, so you kinda won't have pointers in the array, but it's just you won't be able to use pointers as pointers.

Had the Razer mouse from my old PC, it gets the job done. Bought the PC all at once along with the Rosewill Apollo. Month later bought one 144hz 1440p 27" monitor and then two months later picked up two more and the LG ultrawide. Recently got the A5+'s for speakers. Bought the AT2020 and and 702's around the same time. I don't even know what I could really do to improve my set up at this point. Anyone have any ideas? I'm not strapped for cash or anything.
>>
>>58628750
All at once, cost around $5000, key components were a Pentium Pro 200mhz, an Imagine 128 II, I think 64mb of RAM, a Quantum Fireball 1gb drive... forget what else but the screen was a 1600x1200 Sony Trinitron

I'll start.

I just graduated with a bachelors in CS and holy FUCKING shit, was it a waste of my time.

Other than introducing basic programming concepts, your searches, sorts, and data structures, and problem solving skills, everything was taught in the most hands off, theoretical way possible and when we actually DID tip toe into the realm of practicality, it was with deprecated as FUCK versions of languages.

I feel like I have a lot of time to make up for. Still in my early twenties and currently have a job with someone who's impressed to high heaven just for showing him how I can make a cube in unity fly across the screen. Where should I go to learn "intermediate" programming concepts? Practical lessons in things like a program's relationship with the OS and other programs, networking, modern web development, and server architecture?
