There are only two reasons to have a VPN.
1. Your bypassing restrictions.
2. You want to hide your ip from specific people such as teamspeaks and game servers.

/SQT/ - Stupid Question Thread
Alright, you know the drill:
Last thread(s): >>58694939 >>58695096

Then this thread is for you!
Post your simple/stupid questions here, ONCE
You are NOT entitled to an answer.
Please redirect or ignore anybody asking stupid questions outside this thread.
Protip: If you can't tell if your question deserves it's own thread, its very likely it doesn't. Post it here, we'll let you know.
Why is it so hard for you stupid niggers to cuntpaste an OP when making a new thread?
Are pajeets trying to subvert /g/?
My AMD drivers simply do not want to install on Windows Server 2008 R2. How do I fix this?
I just asked in the last thread, so I'll ask here, too.
I want to have a home server to use for file backup and cloud storage (with OwnCloud). What's the best way to go about this? Build my own server? If so, what should I go for in terms of hardware? Buy a prebuilt? If so, what are some good options? I've heard about people making servers with Raspberry Pi, so I've been thinking about that, too. I'm not planning on using RAID storage - I was just going to use an automated bash script to copy the contents of one hard drive to the other on a weekly basis.
Will a 6gb GTX1060 video card compliment a 1920x1080p / 144hz monitor, or should I make the jump to a 1070 for staying over 100fps constantly at that resolution (ignoring 1440p)?
How can the code use a loop invariant if it doesn't allocate a second array, and why the fuck would I allocate an array for this?
Do I just not understand the loop invariant?

Oh but it does
Guts and gore thread, post the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Hey /g/ I have two monitors, one is a DELL with HDMI and VGA ports and the other one is an AOC with just one VGA port on the back.
My GPU is not that good is a GTX 1050 ti of 2GB but it only comes with HDMI and DVI ports so I can't connect my second monitor to it.
I tried connecting my AOC monitor to my motherboard since it does come with VGA ports but when I do it says cable not connected.
So I tried connecting my AOC monitor to my DELL monitor with the VGA port that comes in the DELL monitor for shits and giggles and it also says cable not connected.
What am I doing wrong how can I get the second display to work?
Get an adapter
>>58712386
I have a DVI adapter but that one also doesn't work, forgot to say that.

OK so flesky looks like it's a dead keyboard now, what would be a good alternative knowing that I loved that keyboard and SwiftKey feels really odd?
>>58712196
Why'd they have to make it such bloated shit? I loved the gestures, but now it's laggy as fuck.
>>58712226
Same I really loved it, servers went offline and now I can't download my native dictionary anymore, which makes it unusable ofc...
Where did it all go so wrong?
What if Woz stayed in charge?

He'd still be clinging to the Apple // architecture today.
>>58712129
And that would be bad how? We'd be using apples today instead of windows pc's, and apple wouldn't be shilling this crap

Seems to me you're the more insecure one if you felt the need to post such cheap bait.
Get a life.
>>58711980
Found the Arch user. Also I don't care lol, I just thought the pic was funny and thought I would share. Chill my duder.
I don't understand the Arch memes. I've been using it for the last 6 months on my x220 and i have had 0 problems. Installing using the guide, sudo pacman -S xfce4. Working desktop. Did i do something wrong?
(Retarded?) question here :
Why does an OS with both native windows exe's and Linux pckgs support not exist. Can someone explain why it's impossible/not worth making or why it hasn't been made yet ?
Because wine is dogshit.
And Ubuntu on bash on Windows is terrible too, or whatever it's called.
Also, Windows is closed source so no way in hell will they let Linux developers add native support of Windows apps.
Windows is proprietary and recreating the WinAPI through debugging is a fucking pain. Just look at wine, they've had years to work on their product yet it's still complete shit. As for "Linux pckgs", there's no universal package format for Linux but instead they're made to be used with a specific package manager.
>>58711822
>>58711807
hmm okay.
but if the API is created theoretically native support would be possible ?
In /csg/, we discuss the cheap shit you see on Gearbest, Taobao, AliExpress, Banggood, eBay and similar sites.
PSA: It has come to my attention that a anon going by the username Satsuma has been sneakily adding referral urls to the InstallGentoo wiki >>58708074
Please don't click on any of the s.click.aliex urls on the CSG wiki until they have been replaced with non-referral urls.
