It would be nice if the changes that were done in 12.18 were added to its source code soon.

Was something related to tracking users found in the source code?
I hope someone develops Presto further.

Nothing besides what Opera had already put in it.

So my work decided to throw away a couple of Dell Optiplex 780 shitboxes that had Windows Vista. Being the poorfag that I am, I salvaged a couple of them that actually did turn on and POST. I'm Installing Ubuntu Mate right now, since the last time I used Ubuntu was about 10 years ago and Unity is shit.
I want to be a linux Wizard like my co-workers... How Do I start? How do I get rid of the fear of the CLI? I've been lurking this thread for only a couple days now.
>>58713015
you see to be lost >>58712564
It took me 3 days to dual boot linux mint alongside windows 10. The touchpad doesn't work at all and wifi breaks every 10 minutes. It even hangs sometimes. Why did I do it to myself.
even for the one with the m3 cpu?
>>58712926
Hello sir please buying our new surface poo 4 it has very fast processor please giving your email so I can tell you more about it
>>58712926
Depends. What do you do?
I never see anyone using these, and they seem horrifically overpriced. Am I missing something here?
"as lightweight as a feather"
said no one ever
>>58712917
it doesn't really use any processing power if you're just browsing the web, memory hog though.
More like as lightweight as a pillow.
>light package
>when opened it creates a mess
>Hello Mr. Anon, I'm Sanjay, I'm the head of Human Resources here and I'll be interviewing you today. Now, your resume looks great, but when asked your proficiency level in the Microsoft Office Suite you seem to have responded with "INSTALL GENTOO FAGGOT". Care to elaborate on that?
>>58712915
Why, yes, of course. What I meant was, INSTALL GENTOO YOU MOTHERFUCKING POO-IN-THE-LOO FAGGOT!!!!
posting in epik thread XDDDD
I'd turn Norton 360 degrees and walk away when I saw the interviewer was a poo in loo.
>calls itself secure
>encrypts only the message itself
>requires the sharing of your personal phone number in order to establish contact with anyone else
>who you're chatting with and when are considered "metadata" and are not encrypted
Seriously if anybody can know who you're talking with (with their actual phone number for identification) and when you're doing so, without knowing the actual message content, then it's as good as well that there's no encryption in the first place.
Why is this piece of shit lauded as "secure" and "privacy-oriented"? You're literally leaking almost everything with it.
ISIS pls go
>>58712894
>requires the sharing of your personal phone number
This is where your logic fell apart
because the alternative is sms
Roomba is technology yes?
Well then dick fucking shit, I got a fuckton of money burning a hole in my pocket and I fucking hate cleaning. Can you fuckers redpill me on a roomba, they're fucking expensive as shit and there are to many paid shills doing reviews to confuse the fuck out of me.
My house is all one level, wood tile and laminate and I have 2 big dogs that shed like motherfuckers. Can I get a recommendation for a unit that would fit my situation or should I just keep sweeping shit under the bed.
pets & roombas can be a problem.
http://twentytwowords.com/this-is-what-happens-when-a-roomba-meets-a-dog-turd/
Roomba 980. Vacuums every day and it works fine. There are some areas that it gets stuck in but you just rearrange stuff to mitigate it.
You DO have to keep the floors pretty organized though. No leaving things like clothes on the floor.
>>58712866
I bought a Roomba a few years ago for only $99 from Big Lots. I used it a few times, but stopped using it when it tangled up the ethernet cable going to my wireless router, causing the router to fall off the table it was on and breaking one of the mounts for one of the antennae on the router.
The gf needs a new laptop for work and home. The XPS 13 is pretty much the top-line choice but is there a chinkshit 'top that will placate a woman that uses only MS Office and Facebook?
Macbook rose gold
>>58712826
Just find a used X220 or some shit off of craigslist
Any fucking laptop in the last 7 years will run that shit
Hell she could buy this Latitude D620 off of me for $100 if she wants
>>58712855
She's good, but Christ she's not that ((($$$))) good.
>>58712888
The X220 seems a good call. Problem is future-proofing a refurb/used.
Microsoft does intentionally place bugs is Windows to break Installations that never connected to windows-update service.
Holly shit, how evil is this?! They obviosly stole that method from Debian Linux!
>>58712794
nope, not my laptop, i have one laptop that has a clean install of Win7SP1 ultimate edition and it never gets the wifi configured so it never gets to connect to the internet and it runs just fine, as a matter of fact it does better by NOT connecting to the internet & windows update, but it is only needed for one purpose that is SDR software because Linux sucks when it comes to SDR radio software, i would rather use Linux but i choose the best tool for the job and sadly when it comes to SDR software Linux sucks monkey balls
>>58712853
you simply didn't "trigger" it yet or you actually updated with an offline 3rd party pack.
>>58712794
Yes, they want people to swtich to 10.
google wsusoffline
Is there any modern day text based operating systems
If so what are the best ones
>>58712785
You could just load up any GNU/Linux distribution and work from the terminal. I don't understand the question.
install gentoo
Freedos
Finally managed to install Arch and i3wm
>yes, I'm a bit retarded :^)
What should I do now? Install gentoo?
rice it
>>58712802
I will after I find out how to make the brightness +/- keys work.
Noice ricing, btw.
disable title bars
get better fonts
uninstall i3wm and install i3-gaps
uninstall botnet and install waterfox
uninstall screenfetch and install neofetch
install linux-ck kernel
uninstall arch and install gentoo
How hard is to create a non retarded AI chat bot like Tay?
>>58712740
Extremely fucking hard.
>>58712911
why?
>>58712925
I actually disagree with them. Making a retard chatbot is really hard because it implies they have a damaged brain like intelligence behind it. In reality chat bots are just databases with sophisticated search engines. Of course even that is hard.
In the terminator tv show they fleshed out some interesting concepts of how the terminator brain worked. It was a series of processes. So one low level one might be optical character recognition and a more cpu intensive item is apps which allow higher thought.
