Why are the Gnome devs constantly removing useful features?
Every iteration of Gnome is more resource intensive than the last, so it can't be because of muh bloat
GNOME is what happens when you blindly follow HCI research without thinking critically.
It turns out that a truly idiot-proof computer doesn't exist.
So some apps that I have have cloud based backup and I was wondering if it's possible to get tasker to cause them all to back up when I am asleep?
I don't think Tasker can force a sync with the server. If you leave auto sync enabled in settings > accounts then it should just sync your settings whenever.
For future reference, don't shit up the board next time and ask this in the stupid questions thread you fucking troglodyte
Does Windows really take screenshots or dump memory and send it to Microsoft servers?
So if my password manager crashes they get all my passwords from memory?
Or if I am doing online banking and something crashes, a screenshot will be sent?
Or if I am doing online banking and something crashes, a screenshot of my bank account will be sent?*
The developer builds do send encrypted screenshots to MS
Normal Windows 10 is collecting search info and what you are opening, I don't think it's literally monitoring everything you ever do on your screen
I'm thinking on getting the XPS 15, I already have a windows desktop, is it retarded to buy a laptop only for it's portability or should I something different than my desktop pc?
same situation but using Linux on (presumably) on both, anyone familiar with this experience as opposed to windows on it?

Well, I guess I won't be using that site.
works on my machine
Try Vidme. It's gotten a lot of attention recently and a lot of YouTubers have started uploading their videos there.

Which and why js?
Are you also having issues with Trakt in Exodus on Kodiak recently? I can't access "Collection", "Watchlist", "Progress". I remember that few weeks ago Trakt banned Exodus from using it, but lambda fixed it quickly in v19 of Exodus. Is there any way to fix the issue? I can't watch movies without Trakt.

Reply to this thread and your mom will get dubs in her sleep tonight.
what?
I want to store/back up about 10GB of data. They're stored in encrypted volumes, I just have to figure out where to put the files.
Currently, I have a couple copies on encrypted flash drives/sd cards, but I haven't really looked at cloud storage. I don't really want to pay extra for more storage space, but I also want to at least keep these files for the next 50-60 years, with minimal data decay.
What's the best thing for me to do? Multiple flash drive back ups? SD Cards?
If you can't figure out how to keep 10 GBs of data alive for 10 years then chances are you'll lose them anyway
>have an online backup (encrypted cloud)
>an offline backup (encrypted flash locked away)
>an active backup, i.e. on your computer
>every 6 months or so check integrity, replace/renew as necessary

Alrighty, thanks
