Hey /g/, I couldn't really find a better board for this but does anyone here understand water softeners? I was looking at a 33k grain softener, I live in AZ where the water is rather hard. My city has a 100gpg rating with water hardness. The softener I'm looking at is https://www.lowes.com/pd/Whirlpool-33-000-Grain-Water-Softener/3824563.
Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone has a github/software that verifies all install repos on a system? or knows a way to check integrity of all installed repos to make sure system is secure? Ubuntu 16.4.

for less than 200 lines of example code that doesn't even bother to put main() into a separate file so you can't even just #include it

was it autism? why is this trending on gh right now?
My monitor only has unadjustable hypersaturated presets and unconfigurable srgb. So everything's either blown out or washed out and there's not really an in-between.
Are there software solutions (windows 7 preferably) or did I just get swindled?
Why is there any usable qt alternative to gnome disks or gparted?

Hey /g/, I'm working on a personal electronics project and I was wondering if there exists any more information for how MSI made this bitchin glowing trace effect. More to the point I'm wondering if any fab houses exist that can replicate it.

I want to buy a lightweight (2kg?), cheap (under $300), preferably good batter and good audio card (the audio card on my stinky old laptop is horrible and it sucks because I listen to a lot of music).
Is getting a chromebook and modding it to run linux worth it? I've been thinking I might do that but I wanted to get some other opinions.

Hi, I've been really interested in things like coding and programming and I have kinda started doing it a little bit myself.
However I want to take a step further
I have been wanting to get into web exploitation, of course the average person asking a question like this already seems suspicious but I can assure you I just want to learn for the good of things. Besides all that, does anyone know any way where I can learn about it or learn to start?
what does this even mean
like, i don't know man, there's so many places that are susceptible to attacks, database of sites, bugs in the browser engine. I would suggest learning networking, databases, web development, etc. but I have to say that exploitation and hacking are not "a step further", is more like, a thousand of miles further. I don't know how much you know, but "I have kinda started doing it a little bit myself." hints that you don't know a lot.
Anyway, focus on learning how computers work, then how networks work, you must know all the terminologies and concepts like the palm of your hand. Create your own softwares, like a toy browser, or a toy chat messenger. It doesn't need to be good, just needs to work. If you know how to assemble something, you will know how to disassemble. And be very patient.

overthewire.org has some nice wargames to get you started.
smashthestack.org is focused more on application exploits but it's pretty fun as well

Is there a way to have 5.1 stereo systems play their audio in stereo on all speakers so that when headphones are connected I don't have to go into playback devices and manually change to stereo there.
Currently use a logitech z506 system but changing to stereo every time I put my headphones in is annoying as fuck.

No. 5.1 can't play stereo since the center speaker would have to play mono sound. You can play 2.0 over a 4.0 setup though.
