Does anyone remember these old Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse 1.0's from like fifteen years ago? I've been carrying it and my compaq mechanical keyboard around from build to build all this time and it finally started bugging out on me. After all this time my hand has practically fused into the shape of this mouse and I absolutely can't tolerate anything different, and they stopped selling and making mine years ago.
Does anyone know of a mouse with a similar profile? Thin, about a finger to each button, with a horizontal clickzone separator near the top?

No separator.
>+pretty much any OEM laser mouse
None in stock, I don't think they're made anymore.
The intellimouse looks close to what I want though. Unbelievable overpriced however, more than a gaymin mouse. I guess a lot of people are in the same situation I am.
Any more suggestions? This is kind of important to me lads. I took another look at the G100s but it looks too slippery and even a little too fat. I don't want a round circle and I don't want anything with a hump in the middle. I need a flat rectangle with a well-defined clickzone so I can rest my palm on it without accidentally clicking down.
Any suggestions for languages/environments that are not too hard to program a game? Me and my friend want to make a game that is dialogue based and set in Imperial Russia. We know C/C++, Java, C# and Python. We taught that game should be 2D but we are still thinking about that. Any suggestions how the game should look like?

Just do it. Leave 4chan.
Is our fan facing the right direction or do we have to rotate the heatsink 90 degrees?
>>59055326
install templeOS
just remove the fan you don't need it
>>59055326
Use your head. Do you want it blowing hot air onto your GPU?
Also, stick it in properly and get rid of that space between the fan and the heatsink, so that you can actually fit your GPU in there.

It's a pain navigating uMatrix on a phone. Just install AdAway and be done with it, complement with uBlock Origin for cosmetic filtering if desired.

Why is tech no longer A E S T H E T I C, /g/?
>Why is tech no longer...
Because Apple happened and retards believe they are the pinnacle of """(((design)))"""
apple
they figured out how to design tech that appeals to women and it increased profits so everyone else did the same thing
Bought a computer off one of my buddies but it doesn't seem to wanna connect to the internet. I've tried plugging the Ethernet directly to the router. I've tried fiddling with the adaptor settings. Doesn't seem like I'm getting anywhere. It says the adaptor is disabled and when I go to enable it it just says enabling and doesn't load. I left it over night on and it was stilling turning on afterwords. It's a Nvidia Nforce Network adaptor. I've heard about it not working on windows 7 but all the fixes I've seen in YouTube and google don't work for me. Anyone got any advice?
>>59054949
install gentoo
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
>>59054949
Wow, your buddy screws you.
Obvious solution, is a live CD. If it connects, then it's a software problem.
If it doesn't, bring it to your buddy's house, and try again there.
Change cables and parts as needed.
Do any fellow /g/entoomen partake in a bit of dumpster diving? Just last night I scored this i3 4130, 4GB and 1TB HDD along with a pair of Wacom tablets. Sadly the motherboard is dead from corrosive liquid damage but it may be possibly to repair if I can replace the damaged SMD resistors. Hopefully the CPU is still good.
So dumpster diving thread. Post your finds.
What do you people mean by dumpster diving? I kind ofbwant to do it but you don't mean actually going through trash cans, right? I can't imagine anyone who still is remotely human looking through trash. Is it an American thing? Trash here is basically deadly.
>>59055454
well calling it "recycling bin diving" wouldn't sound as good. But yeah, you look in places where things get discarded for disposal and see if there's anything salvageable there.
The thing that pisses me off is that thrift stores and charity operations apparently refuse to deal in computers. Monitors and keyboards, sure, but the actual computers are whisked away and never sold.
>>59055642
data protection laws. even if they wanted to they are not allowed to. and the possibility of a lawsuit outweights the possible turnover they have on ancient, old computers. dumpster diving is also illegal in most US states and europe. just a heads up.
Alright government fags, when are you bringing this guy down and ending his monopoly on information distribution online?

Not OCed but fuck it.
I put my 970 up for sale for $200 and got a few offers but realized I have no fucking idea what I want to do with that cash.
I now have $500ish to spend. (In Europe though, so more like $350 in the US)
A 4K monitor would sure be nice, and I keep wanting to upgrade my GPU to compensate for the resolution increase but the only games I play are CS:GO and BeamNG.drive - which does, though, stutter a bit at 1080p already.
I'll almost definitely go for a R7-1700 though as I do lots of rendering and encoding, don't really see a point in paying $70+/$150+ for a slightly better binned chip and turbo boost.
I'm working on my GNU/Linux CLI assistant, and it's getting quite complex. Might add machine learning in the future.
What's your excuse?
I'm not autistic
>>59054705
Points for Finch.
What would that assistant exactly do besides tell you fucking weather and compensate for your lack of friends ?

Meh, if you own a tech company looking for customer, then perhaps.
So, i want to start a YouTube channel, what do you reccomend me as an editor?
I'm familiar with Sony Vegas, but i want to hop on something new.
I also want to be in Legality(who buys Vegas anyways?)
So any OpenSource or Free program?
>google it
I know, but i want reccomendations.
Thanks!
kdenlive is the best imo
You could try cinelerra but the UI was made by literal childern
>>59054051

People seem to recommend me Lightworks, but it seems "too dumb"

Why isn't Tox discussed anymore, /g/?
It used to be a big thing.
>>59053881
Because it's shit, has nothing to offer over XMPP, is developed by a bunch of hotheaded retards, has slow updates, is broken by design and in general: it's just another bullshit unsecure platform in a sea of bullshit unsecure platforms.
Because it has a backdoor.
