This one was $60 last year, and it's probably going to be around the same price this time around. I guess that .pizza domains are more expensive because businesses are the intended demographic and not memes.

Those are all the countries indeed, but feel free to remove the countries which you trust. For instance I allow Ukraine and Russia, with forcing Ukraine for both Exit and Entry node. This also gives me a speed bost as I'm from Ukraine, I get almost 2MB/s.

What data gets collected by 4chan associated with posts? Do they store ip addresses for each post? If so, is there a specific law that forces them to do so? If not, why do they do that at all?
29 posts and 2 images submitted.

>Do they store ip addresses for each post?
they have to otherwise you can't ban people

>If so, is there a specific law that forces them to do so?
at least I know in the EU the law requires them to do this, no idea about the US. I don't know what kind of jurisdiction applies to 4chan if Hiroshimoot lives in the EU (or even Japan) and the servers are hosted in the US.

>If not, why do they do that at all?
it's pretty much in the qa. CP is illegal almost anywhere but some bumfuck muslim countries and if 4chan didn't take measures to prevent it, it would be gone in no time.
>>
IPs have no value. They are stored with each post for moderation purposes. Why are you on /g/? This should be obvious.
>>
>>59111273

I wanted to ask question without assuming anything. I know there are IP bans, which I personally think mean little since with mobiles these days- I get a new ip very often.

>>59111261
So you're saying US has no such laws?
Actually I think the EU is even more worried about "privacy" and want less data to be retained so I'd be surprised if they had such laws.

Re: CP- I get your point but I don't see how CP relates to IP. I mean the primary obligation of hiro is to ensure CP doesn't exist on his servers. I'd be surprised if he were charged for not storing IPs of CP uploaders if IP storage is not mandated.

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).

----
If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™

Recommended models:
T420 - 14", normal size
X220 - 12.5", ultraportable
----
Why ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap.
>Excellent keyboards - tactile feel and quiet.
>Great durability: chassis uses a magnesium rollcage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels.
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models.
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing in the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.

Cloudflare leaks passwords all over the place and I have to basically change every password I have just to be sure. It makes me wonder... If I can't rely on one password for every website. And if I can't rely on one password manager which could someday get hacked or simply cease to exist. What alternatives are there? Pen & paper storage? Is that the state of our technological advancement ?

What does /g/ think of C#?

I know it might seem a bit bloated, but it isn't, and its extremely easy to do work in. Its the language I fell in love with and I just love working with it.

God tier language if you don't hate Microsoft. I also have yet to see a better UI library than WPF.
>>
>>59109259
What is Swing?
>>
Now that Oracle is letting Java slip farther and farther away and making its development slow, C# looks like the better and better option. But "not bloated"? Have you ever seen one of those ".NET Framework 4.5 Overview" posters? We have walls in our office that aren't wide enough to hang one:

http://blog.bbv.ch/2012/11/12/new-poster-net-framework-4-5-overview/

The language might not be fat, but the framework is possibly even bigger than what's in the JDK.

In the sector of very verbose languages, I like it better than Java, though. But then, I don't like verbose languages.
