remind me why do people use this shit again
Because it's not communism or fascism that everything must be monolithic.
>when windows doesn't have something built into it sucks
>when it does it's bloat
>>59128250
yes, and it actually does have one so the OP is full of shit, and most people hate it because it's part of the app shop and that's just ugly technology for custom computing like the desktop.
Why does this shit exist? Why has the internet gone to shit? Many mobile versions of websites are done in segments where you have to load page after page to read some shit instead of all of it loading in one neat page.

Google is officially worse than Microsoft now. MS even open sourced the .NET code last year. Google needs to gtfo.

SO i have like 50k rupees or 800 usd. Im looking for a new laptop. i want a 13.3 inch laptop. Looking everywhere it looks like the macbook air 2015 is the best fit. IVe been always told apple had insane margins. but i simply couldnt find an equally specced windows laptop. The asus ux305 is 50k but has an m processor. the dell insipron 13 5000 has an i5 but is 65k. and all the windows laptop comes with 4gb and hdd which means another 10k on upgrades.
So Ive decided on the air. The only question is the display resolution enough and how shitty mac os will be for a life long linux user.
im currently on a 720p 11 inch netbook. never used a 1080p laptop before. will i miss the 1080p? (Thinkpad T users can help?) And is macOS full of bloatware that cant be removed?

No Linux DE actually guides a user on how to use the system unlike in Windows and OSX
>>59127487
Thats because its not for casual users. Plain and simple. Of course I would always recommend windows/mac to people that are not computer enthusiasts.
>>59127487
The linux desktop will never come until this is fixed.
As a power user though, I'd prefer KDE as you can slim down its memory and processing footprint by disabling akonadi and baloo which causes all the bloat while still leaving you with a full featured-desktop that eats <600MiB without anything running.
I have SuperSU on my phone, but after learning that the app has been sold to a chinese company I no longer trust it. My question is now if I can simply uninstall the app and then install another superuser app or do I have to reset my phone to make sure that I have no hidden virus from the chinese on my phone.
Also which app should I use? I heard about superuser by phh, as it is also open source.
>inb4 people tell me to trust a shady chinese company
>>59127235
Youll be fine just uninstall and never look back.
Superuser is your only option desu
>>59127280
Ok thanks.
Should I use the change superuser app function or just uninstall it and install the new app?
I trust a shady Chinese company to respect my privacy more than my own goverment.
Hey guys, my 1800x is causing some stuttering on windows 7 but on 8.1 and 10 its working alright, whats the issue?
>>59126772
what the fuck, that wasnt my image at all

The issue is that AMD no longer supports W7.

Do you not understand that youtube audio already compresses the sound?
So downloading it as a lossless audio file is like letting someone who just ate steak shit on your plate hoping to make hamburgers.
hey /g/
can someone explain what the fuck arduino can be used for?
Its a microcontroller, yeah, but what the fuck does it do? how do you hook it up? what makes it different from a rasberry pi? Im really confused here
A raspberry is a full computer. It have RAM, storage, networking, USB... You can run Linux on it.
An arduino is just an electronic toy that you program on a low level, and can only communicate with serial (without external interface)
>>59126543
theyre super easy to use and are fine for anything up to machine control.
Arduinos are basically only good for learning or on the fly stuff.
Devices like the raspberry pi, up board, or jetson are single board computers that still have the gpio and communication pins required for projects.
>>59126543
raspberry pi is not a real-time computer

I'm chasing down a glitch in a VM that happened after I updated the kernel for that recent privilege-escalation problem. fun times.
