When a computer freezes or takes years to respond, What's going on hardware/software wise?
A computer must always be doing something, so what the fuck is it doing while it's not responding, having a digital seizure?
stuck in an infinite loop inside a function

CPU load is near 100% so there aren't spare cycles to handle user input/update the display.
This can happen for many reasons, but in general you can imagine that the computer is just busy doing other things.
Why are you not using ReactOS?
Because I'm using Windows 10.

these niggas gonna be in a lawsuit real soon

it's not based on windows
I left my usb in a pc at my uni and some fucker of my class took it and didn't returned it. Fortunately the usb was encrypted, but is there any way to track down a lost usb?
I mean, that memory is lost, but can I prepare a new one for transmitting data every time is plugged in and there is internet access?
>>59125261
No. No sane OS uses autoruns for flash drives nowadays.
> pro tip you can't
most operating systems disable autoruns to prevent script kiddies from reaching havoc to public PC's (and for personal protection as well).

in high school I made a small program running in the background that copied all of the documents folder to the USB drive (which was like 64mb lel). My friends and I hoped to get maybe exams from a teacher PC when we plugged it in for a presentation, but it didn't work because we didn't get the PC username right.
Who here comfy with Sierra?
A month ago I was.
Then I got tired of dual booting for something specific. I'm going back to it soon though.
macOS runs just fine in a VM, you know.

Windows is a vector display UI subsystem, throwing bitmaps into the display scheduler is not the mother's milk and will bog you down from here to Kingdom Come. Have fun burning those watts just to reskin something you only look at once an hour (at most!).

what are the start up costs for someone who wishes to make an IC fabrication company? how hard would it be to get investors interested in such a thing? the key thing for me would be implementation of newer materials like magnesium diboride, and methods like Hybrid physical-chemical vapor deposition.

ITT we talk about multiple monitors.
What kind of setups would give you pic related? It seems like it would be perfect for me. Would a 30" 16:10 and 2 20" 16:10s make it work?
At work I use 2 22" monitors side by side, and it's okay.
>>59123741
the problem I have with these is they require a desktop.
my work laptop is a 16GB e7440 so I end up using 1080 onscreen and 1080 on monitor. External monitor *can* run 2k but laptop fans have to run non-stop so the noise is worse than 1080.
I would love something like that with a desktop or for home use.
Is that setup suggesting 4k center 4096 or 3840×2160 with the sides each 2048×1080 to almost match the 2160?
>that's a lot of GPU
Model some monitors you're eying in CAD and set them up next to each other. Also in my experience it's better having 2 portrait monitors next to eachother and a landscape on the side if you're working with 3. It ain't pretty, but you're coding on it, not impress jerkoffs at a dinner party.
I have a 21:9 main monitor and then a vertical 16:9, it covers all bases for me. Movies, video/sound editing, and gaming are great on an ultrawide, then the vertical 16:9 is great for web browsing and forums
Is there an alternative music player with a library layout similar to this?

How much longer do we have to wait until we're able to reap the benefits of living in a society where real live panty flashing robots or androids are a reality?
Only people who work will be able to afford robots.
Your NEETbucks will only get you a set of towels, a box of gloves and some lube you can fuck.
I'd rather have a sumomo
>>59123502
I'm sure there will be a Ford of robots eventually.
Hi /g/uys.
I think my 2 room mates are secretly stealing from me and talking shit about me behind my back.
I need a secret invisible app that will listen to sound through one computers headset, and give it to my computer.
My one room mates computer is always unlocked and he has a gaming headset plugged in. the computer is plugged in through ethernet like mine
Put a lock on your door and make better friends.
What are you 12?
quit being a pussy and set up a camera or ask them to their faces
I came up with a genius idea
>say you want to compress a file
>the file contains 1's and 0's
>replace all the 1's with 0
>delete all the 0's with the exception of the first
>now you have a file with 1 byte
Why this wasn't implemented yet?
Because that would corrupt the file.

Is Math.min
>>59133950
change the variable
like int extramin = 0;
then set colum =extramin(dx,ox)+1;
>>59134025
why though
usually min() works
