If we ignore concerns about electricity consumption, which light bulbs are the best for your health?

Studies show that LED bulbs damage your eyes
CFL's emit UV radiation and are terribly dim

Also the EU banned incandescent lights, it's like they want you to go blind and sunburnt.

Why is this better than most modern day monitors?

Better because a little radiation is good for ya

you don't have to choose between picture quality, viewing angles, refresh rate, black levels, etc.
you just get all of it in one box.

Can someone redpill me on Constructors ?

Why do I need them?
My class has methods, I can just instantiate an object then call methods....where do constructors fall in this simple usage pattern?
26 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
A constructor is a method that is called on object instantiation
>>
They're useful for initialising object state and passing in parameters
Example:
File file = new File("blah.txt");
>>
>>59154889
If you fill your class with useful default values upon creation, you're using a constructor.

So thats only one call.

your_class instance;

has then everything you need to make it work right away. Which is one call, not two, hence cleaner
 your_class instance;
instance.set_some_values(a,b,c,d,e);

You can also pass them arguments (if you write the constructor eccordingly) to give them different default values. That comes in pretty handy

your_class instance(a,b,c,d,e);

Also it enables you to finetune visibilty, if it is for instance not meant that the user can set values after creation themselves, you can directly only set the constructor public, not the set functions

Hypothetically speaking, how would one go about destroying this evil company? is that even possible for a single person to do?
77 posts and 8 images submitted.
>>
probably a well placed bomb
>>
>>59154719
Doubt it. Even if fb has a centralized server and you were to destroy it, and in the process of doing so killing zucc and other important figures. It's just such a profitable company that it would rise again. The users would lose their data but i doubt it would take more than a week before everything is running smoothly again.
>>
>>59154627
>is that even possible for a single person to do?
Probably, but not with a bomb like it'd be in a movie. The way a single person could kill facebook is if they were a big celebrity popular with lots of people, especially young ones, and preferably not just in America but worldwide, and they made a big public point of talking about how you should be careful with your privacy, and quit social media sites.

Basically if avoiding social media became a trendy thing to do they'd be in a lot of trouble really quickly.

Oops, posted at the end of the last thread.

Hey guys, first time stopping by

This was my dads TAG Heuer, he just broke up with my stepmom now and needs some money so I bought it from him for $1200.

It's a lot but feels pretty cool having my first real luxury watch.

What do you think?
>>
>>59153439
Given the poorly copied dial and weird looking lugs, maybe. But the too small sub-seconds is a design flaw that Nomos made on their own watch, not just something that shows up on fakes.
