Probably a continued education system where you have to attend classes regularly. To endure you're up to date with best practice.
You'll all be programming in Java script, ruby and GO by the end of the year.
*BSD is better than Linux

Wrong, the burden of proof is on who made the claim.
Prove that BSD is better than Linux, anon.

Does FreeBSD support nixpkg yet?
>>59175224
How does nixpkg work? Does it build stuff from source?
Well, what are your thoughts? Is this the end for Intel or AMD?
Neither, they both have their niche. People will buy one or the other depending on their own preference.
You have to remember, they've been at this whole little turf battle for years now and they're both still in it.

AMD is a clear winner here. Reviewers are going to have to struggle to paint Ryzen in a bad light.

Strange, my professor who is the most talented in the entire CS dept and is actually heading back into the private industry next year said I'll do extremely well. I'm 27 and have 2 more years until I get my bachelor's in CS.
go into computer engineering. that's where the real money is

you mean fail so hard that they've been sold out consistently since release? I would wager that it's doing at least as well as Google expected.

I'm having trouble with emacs
I can't find the file to edit the thing, and I can't seem to figure out how to set my default keys to the vi keys.

Blessed are those who use GNU. Blessed are those who use emacs. All who falter from GNU will be forgeven. All who falter from emacs will be forgiven. Amen.
>>59174626
Start with spacemacs, it's recommended for newbies. It comes with evil if you're familiar with vi keys.

Reposting my question:
Newbie to FFMPEG here, trying to encode a video(mp4, MPEG-4) to SWF for /f/ posting.
Triedffmpeg -i test.mp4 test.swfand while it worked, the resulting video was sped up by 4x while audio remained at normal speed.
Searched on google for awhile and someone suggested converting to .flv first before copying the video and audio stream to .swf withffmpeg -i test.flv -acodec copy -vcodec copy test.swfbut I got the same results, anyone know how to fix this?
Curiously enough, the video didn't have any problems when converted to .flv, only to .swf
Also, anyone know if there's a "compression parameter" in ffmpeg so I can get it to fit under 10MB?
>pic related
How is this feature called?
The screenshot is from KDE, but I assume the are many programs who can do this, like there are many different panels to install?
Basically i want to add this to a window manager, but I don't even know what to google, and if i try to describe it, it's easy to end up with results about tiling window managers, except this is something else, more like a nice way to switch between floating windows.

Whats wrong? Hiring young people is cheap. Young people can't code for shit, so they use all this crutch to prop themselves up and look like some leet programmers.
Nothing new, I still remember all that RAD/VB crap from the nineties.
>>59174522
wonder why...
Ok fa/g/gots, lets write a code.
Rules/Assumptions:
1. First reply cannot end the code
2. Use Java syntax only
3. Assume all classes are imported
public void doSomething()
{
throw new NullPointerException();
for (int i = 0; i < 7; ++i)
{
foo->bar(&_kLoss, &m_fZ);
}

Is anyone else super fucking impressed with Ryzen but disappointed by the boards?
>no Quad Channel memory
>only one m.2 slot on all of them
>most don't have too many USB ports
>not many have WLAN
>nowhere nears as many PCIe slots (I'll forgive that though since anything more than 2x SLI/Xfire is dumb, and it's unlikely anyone needs more than 1 extra expansion card)
Ryzen having such huge performance makes me question why the boards do not have parity with the enthusiast boards Intel has out right now. USB 3.1 gen 2 and USB C is pretty nice though.
