Hi /g/uys..I just bought a new pc and want to install a user friendly gnu/linux distro on it. I like KDE so my possible choice are: kubuntu, mint or openSUSE. Which do you suggest me? Which is the best of these 3? Please help me! Thanks.
>>59181887
go back to windows if you're not even able to pick a distro on your own.
just use ubuntu. Mint is shit and openSUSE
>>59181920
OP here..I personally use Debian since 2008..but this new pc I bought it's for my family and for this reason I need a user friendly distro..

Media player that scans your movies and creates a library that looks like netflix?
I would like to be able to see my movies with by images and be able to sort them by genre etc.
Ive looked at plex which looks exactly like something i want with ratings descriptions and stuff like that, but as far as i know i need to creare a server but all I want is to view it from my Pc.
What video players have this feature that does a really good sorting like netlix
you dont need a server to use plex.
>>59180419
Are you sure? Everywhere I read they say that you need to use one, mind you it might be old info.
Plex IS the media server. You set up your libraries and organise your files according to its conventions. You know that anything that hosts something on the local network is Technically a server right? It doesn't have to face the internet.
For local playback you just use mpv or something, anything else like Kodi I've found to be too cumbersome, especially when just using my steam controller does just fine.
I use Plex + a chromecast to stream to a 100+ inch projector.
What do you do on your thinkpads?

Small Fans are too noisy, and a laptop usually lacks efficient cooling in general.

>Small Fans are too noisy, and a laptop usually lacks efficient cooling in general.
It doesn't matter. It still burns like 10Watts. It's economical and the total noise isn't that big either.
Dust off your shit, I bet it's a cave of dust in there.
Most normies return their laptops because of it.
My phone is on its last legs, /g/ and I got a budget of 250€. Which phone do you think I should get?

sup /g/. i was using memesoft's outlook mail until today when they deleted my email without me knowing it. maybe i was hacked or maybe employees at memesoft are bunch of fucking tards but i'm not using their services anymore because they fucked up either way. what e-mail service providers does /g/ use?
I find Yandex.Mail's webmail pleasing to look at. Not using it for extremely private top secret stuff so I don't really care if it's spying me or not.
Then there's also protonmail.ch.

NVIDIA is identical to AMD in not having their own Foundries, and their only difference is that NVIDIA makes larger dies that are faster but more expensive. Intel has Foundries and technical superiority because of that and hence it can make AMD run behind it like a dog.
Fuck all of them. NVIDIA and AMD are a cartel of GPU patents. Intel and AMD are a cartel of CPU for the desktop patents.
Ever wondered why in the ENTIRE WORLD there are only 2 companies that do GPUs and 2 that do CPUs for the desktop? They are a fucking cartel of patents. Stop being fanboys of any of them.
inb4: "Anyone can licence ARM, Intel is not very far in front".
Yes, but that doesn't mean they don't pay fees.

>NVIDIA and AMD are a cartel of GPU patents. Intel and AMD are a cartel of CPU for the desktop patents.
What you are complaining about is the nature of the patent system, not the behavior of these companies. They are doing exactly what the system suggests of them, they are not abusing the system or patent trolling. Go bitch at a government of your choice instead.
>wahh companies use patents to protect their R&D investment
So apparently this 20year anniversary Mac costs about 2,000 and 4,000 second hand. Its almost 20 years "retro" (2017-2000). Should I sell my 2011 iMac for 300 ? (Its worth nothing more) or wait until 2031 ? XDxD.
there were literally millions of 2011 imacs manufactured
if you own niché Apple products like XServe RAID or iPod Hi-Fi, or products of historical value like iPhone 1st gen or the original iPod, hold on to them. Their price will go up and only up, and if they're CIB or NIB, you're in for a lot of money in the future.
>>59179172
The 20 yr was $7,499 new anon. Its rare because nobody bought the fuckers. Your iMac will only go down in price because it is nothing special.
