Hello /g/ so I have a desktop pc that I got for free from work. Its got a core 2 duo @ 3ghz and 8gb of ram! But it has on-board graphics which really suck...
I'm hoping you guys could recommend a low power usage gpu (don't want to upgrade the psu) that can support hdmi so I get smooth playback from my TV watching blu-rays, dvds, 1080p youtube, etc...

What the FUCK is going on with Firefox?
It's been a month at least now... it's become so slow and intolerable that I've resorted to Microsoft Edge for the moment.
I've had Firefox since day one... this is the first time I've ever changed it... it's got THAT BAD.
Has anyone else experienced the lag, freezing, and general bullshit as of late?
I need news... I need to know they're sorting this shit out, I don't wanna resort to some bullshit browser like Edge.

So, I'm not asking for help with anything, just understanding how something works, so I hope this doesn't break the 'not your tech support' rule. Anyway, I just recently got a Philips 4k 55 inch 120hz TV for $398 at Walmart. I noticed a setting called 'perfect motion rate', so I set it to 'max'. It seems to make the frame rate appear faster, or at least more fluid, than it was with it off. What's going on here?

yeah it's way better. i used to use 32 bit firefox and it would leak ram until it got to about 3GB then crash but now with 64 bit it leaks until it gets to about 8GB then crashes.

I cannot deny that I am disappointed in Ryzen's gaming performance. After all the leaks that showed Ryzen playing football with the i7 6900 series, I expected better than this. But for the price, Ryzen is a better buy than the i7 6800 series, so I am replacing that.

i7 6900K has poor gaming performance too compared to i7 6700K and i7 7700K. There is a reason nobody recommended it for gaming, and that reason isn't only the high price. Same applies here, if you're a poorfag who only plays games then why would you buy a processor with 8 cores? Those only help in modern games with Vulkan and DX12 if they are properly optimized, and that isn't most games.
