Hey /g/, I'm not that good with computers. My friend gave me this desktop for free (rich piece of shit) after building his own. It's pretty decent. Can run most games at high settings with 60fps. What should I upgrade to make it more future proof?
I know, I know.

I'm gonna stick with amd for now since I don't feel like replacing the mother board. So should I upgrade the 1060 3gb to 6gb or just buy a 1080 with a new AMD CPU and PSU?

Ran a malwarebytes scan and it fucked my shit up.
restarted computer after removing some threats.
Now windows just puts me in a temp account whenever I try to log in and says "we can't sign you into your account"
and gives the very helpful advice of "turn it on and back off again."
Don't use malwarebytes. It might fuck your shit up.
If any anons can share the fix for this shit so I don't have to wait for people on malwarebytes forums, that would be amazing.

So I've been gaming for a while on pc, and this problem has just arose. I'll be in the middle of a game and out of the blue I hit a crazy lag spike followed by sound shutters of the game.
I average about 120 fps in the game I play, and it drops to literally 1 fps. And the sound starts bugging out. And after about 20 seconds it goes back to normal. It happens randomly, but never back to back. There is at least a 3 hour gap in between the lag spikes.
Specs:
Motherboard: MSI 970 Gaming AM3+
CPU: AMD FX-8370
GPU: PNY GTX 960 OC
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16gb
PSU: Lepa N500
HDD: 500GB
Please help.
