Bump so hopefully someone with Ryzen can actually test this shit.
> "It's only good for workstations" le meme
Stop repeating that stupid meme, it's not good for Workstations either. Only for 1% of the time you ever use a computer you are going to leave it the fuck alone to render something. For 99% of the time, you will be actually using the computer in an interactive manner and that can not be parallelized as well.
Let alone if you knew anything about computers you'd know most of the parallelism nowadays is done by the GPU, NOT, the CPU, and that might become even MORE prevalent, NOT less with the newest GPU APIs that offload even more and more stuff from the CPU space to the GPU space even if they claim to help more at multithreading *but that is not their main advantage.

Thank you

Which music players on Windows support this native volume and music control pop up thing?
Pic related is Spotify, not the built in Groove Music btw.
Is there an add on for foobar that can do this?
>>59248534
probably only the modern ones (made recently and/or from the windows store)
I'm afraid this can only be enabled if you make the proper additions to the source code

How hard is it to create a neural net? Do I need a PhD in Computer Science? Can we really make a computer work like a human brain?
>>59248417
>
Yes
>>59248417
>How hard is it to create a neural net?
Not very, there are plenty of libraries for it.
>Do I need a PhD in Computer Science?
No.
>Can we really make a computer work like a human brain?
Who knows. It's not a question of being possible anyway, of course it's possible, we could simulate every single molecule if there was no other option, it's a question of it being feasible.
>>59248501
>of course it's possible, we could simulate every single molecule if there was no other option
Exactly how would that be possible?
I tried Clementine and it really looks like to me this is the best alternative to Foobar, hell even the best audio player. It released under GNU Licence, works under linux, windows and even mac.
https://github.com/clementine-player/Clementine
Don't know about ricing though.
>>59249086
The best alternative to foobar is Winamp tbhwys.
>>59249141
You mean the winamp that got discontinued and only available to windows and totally proprietary?
What do you think about eating mold?

too much fiddling, never just works, anything you can try always goes wrong. They should rename it Murphyx. Literally all it's good for is neet points, not for actual use.
If there is ONE and only ONE language that you would have to master in order to do everything, which one would it be ?

Juste bought a fking $850 4k monitor (Acer B326HK).
After a few days of using it, a stupid green pixel appears when there's a dark/black background.

how about oyu return it and get a new one ?!

yeah probably gonna do that, but annoying af, having to go back to my shitty 1080p monitor
Got a i3 2100 bottlenecking my 280x and would like to upgrade it to ivy bridge. I can get either a 3570 or a 3770 for around the same price (~150 €).
Is it worth going for the i7 for future proofing? I'm a bit wary of trusting devs to get advantage of HT in the near future tho.
Also, my mobo has a Z68 so OC is not out of the question, but if I go for the 3750(k) I'd need to buy a cooler (H 212 evo for 30 €). Worth it over the 3770? Not considering 3770k cos it's too expensive.
I'm going to do some light gaming (but mostly racing sims that are somewhat cpu intensive) and general purpose tasks, but with this upgrade I intend to keep using this build till the mobo fucking dies, and that could be 2022 thereabouts, and the i7 might get the upperhand then.
What do you recommend familia?
Wait for Ryzen 5
>>59247998
Just get a ryzen
>>59247998
>I'm a bit wary of trusting devs to get advantage of HT in the near future tho
Nice meme. "Devs" don't have to "take advantage" of Hyperthreading. It's just there, doing what it does. And in newer games that like more threads, that's provide a large performance increase. Why the FUCK would you even consider an i5 if the i7 is the same price?
What's the best voice synthetizer that will let me convert a .txt into a nice human voice?
I could try Text a loud but I would like something more realistic.

>>59247863
no but i dont have to because Trump saves my job and i dont have to fear competition from people smarter than me
all good
>>59247863
It's not a real test. It's something the pigs do to fuck with you and give themselves an excuse to deny you entry. It's a personality judgement. You think these monkeys making $11 an hour know anything about CS?
And yeah, I'm white, so yeah, no problem.
>>59247874
Except that's not true because more jobs will get offshored now. Now companies will be able to pay more pajeets local indian wages instead of lowered american wages. Perfect.
