Sit down everyday and just write code everyday. From 30min to 4 hours every day. Dont learn new things every day. Learn a handful of skills and use them got a few months. Problem solved. If you cant just get a labor job

stick to all c# with your program and then learn how to wrap functions from dlls or named pipes for ipc across your c# program and c++ program if you're very committed to the act of having two programs, that's very silly though, that will slow things down and you would be better off sticking to all c# for what you are doing

there are more chances for an inexperienced programmer to slow down c++ and not have the knowledge to fix, or to profile what they have done and fix. c# is pretty straightforward and easy to fix if you cause a slowdown doing things

are you using powerwall or powerwall 2 numbers, there's a difference.
besides, you should be accounting for your individual situation. is electricity especially cheap where you live? is it especially expensive? renewable? does it adjust easily to load or does the grid have a blowout when demand changes?
if you do it right it should at best save you money, at worst give you a good amount of redundancy from the grid and make your electricity cheaper.
if you're the type that likes laughing at people just wait until the power goes out again (i guarantee you this SA power bullshit will spread east to victoria and NSW) and start playing music.
