Sup /v/ I'm new around here and it seems I might stay
I know my fair share of c++ and now I'd like to move on to more network related stuff.
So here's my question where should I start (considering that I know c++) and does anyone of you know this weird distro of linux that's called something like "exploitable" you know all togeather a distro that has absolutely no seciurity and is used to practice pen-testing?
Also how did you get into programming thread
BTW nice shitstorm you got there with Ryzen

the company network runs through a proxy, which is fine and makes sense, you just fiddle with the settings and dont notice it when working through the browser.
Except the development team, we use different programs and plugins and whatnot, most of which reqire internet accsess and each needs to be configured to use the proxy and each uses a different method - environment variables, registry entries, hidden in the depth of the gui menu, config files, command line parameters. Some legacy programs dont even have a setting for it and outright refuse to work.
is there a way to fake a network that forwards all ports and makes every programm plug and play without the need of additional proxy configuration? or something like this
Yeah, a router.
obviously i cant just install some unapproved hardware in the office, is there a way to create a virtual router?
Ask your boss for unrestricted access, citing the points you just gave.
Make sure to drop the word productivity a few times.

Your daily reminder that Riot/Matrix is the future of secure IM.
>doesn't need a phone number to register
>doesn't have to tell your new contact your phone number to establish contact
>industry standard encryption for all of text chat, audio calls, and video conferences
>federated
>can be integrated with things like git and IRC
>chat history sync between devices works with E2E encryption in group chats, a thing that nothing else can do currently
>FOSS
Literally Riot/Matrix is the only choice that you should take seriously as a /g/entooman. XMPP is deprecated no matter what amount of glue you throw on top of it, and things like Wire and Signal and Telegram are flawed in one way or other.
I can't believe so many people are shilling for either Signal or Wire on /g/.
Those have nothing compared to Riot/Matrix.

They censored discussions. https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comments/5pcjsr/what_happened_to_infinality/
And the comments on AUR is just plain autistic. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/freetype2-infinality/
Is there someone big behind Freetype? Was bohoomil got taken out?
Was it Red Hat? US gov?
