taichi has 16 phases vrm.
msi titanium supposedly used super premium chokes (heard it en passant from some youtuber but I went to check it out and couldnt find the exact specs), I noticed it has less phases though, but couldn't count them under the upper heatsink.
the aorus and the taichi are pretty reasonably priced, imho, they're on par wwith the z270 mid-high end (apart from the ridiculous rog extreme, gaming 9, which are kinda on they're own league).

I think it's also because linear switches are marketed (rightly or wrongly) as 'gamer' switches, so a lot of people like to distance themselves from them and the associated stigma.

But yeah there are some good linear switches, people need to try nicely weighted vintage blacks before disregarding them entirely.

Yes, you can easily remove the battery and replace it when it dies. Did it today, took literally 7 seconds. Theres a button on the side that releases the bottom giving access to the battery.
