Hard mode: Don't reply with "XDDD Businesses have enough moniessss"
>>59328158
Businesses have enough money. Also if their product was being pirated it means that it's not worth what they're charging or the people didn't have the money to buy it. Either way they were never gonna get supported. Natural selection try again next reincarnation.

Not even once
>>59327843
>every website you visit is unusable
have fun with that
I use noscript on my desktop and it's a pain in the ass. Most of the time I'm not happy about using it. Obviously when it blocks trackers I am, but it's annoying when it makes sites like newegg and amazon nigh unusable. And I usually can't tell which scripts to allow. For example cloudfront, I have no idea what those scripts do.

Can CIA/NSA track you and your data if you use a dumbphone? I mean has this shit of worldwide espionage in by the US in this degree been going for a long time or is it just a recent thing?
>>59327815
>Can CIA/NSA track you and your data if you use a dumbphone?
Yes. Anything that connects to cell towers like that can be tracked
>I mean has this shit of worldwide espionage in by the US in this degree been going for a long time or is it just a recent thing?
It has been going on since the beginning of WW2 and came to the levels it is today during the Cold War
>>59327830
>Yes. Anything that connects to cell towers like that can be tracked
Yeah, but not with the same precision as today or level of information as today am i right? I mean cell towers have can't pinpoint like GPS and 3G can. Also can they simply tap your phone simply because it is connected to a cell tower?
>>59327872
As long as 2 or more towers are in range they can track your fairly accurately
While older phones definitely don't have level of spying as modern smartphones never assume you're safe
I got a 6000Vac 0.2 amp franceformer for fun. What should i do with it?

C is the mother of all security exploits
Is Facebook the most cancerous site in existence?
twitter is. atleast on fb you can choose what you want to see. but on twitter some random nigger can quote you with an beyonce gif and get 1000000 rts from dumb fucks.
>>59327409
It's literally half liberal sperging and half sharing cancerous "news" articles from obscure websites about completely false scientific studies and "facts."
>>59327409
yes, i still can't believe people still use it, it should be dead like myspace, orkut, yahoo. There is whatsapp, instagram (i know it's still facebook's), snapchat, there's zero reason to still use facebook.
Is there any real advantage to Kubuntu over Debian KDE prepackaged with non-free firmware?
Or vice versa, for that matter.
>>59327344
he's hot. who is that? I'd suck a fart out of his ass
>>59327551
His name Lennert Potter, the creator of systemd.
I would rephrase that question to KDE neon or Debian KDE with non free firmware. In that case: I personally see Debian more as a server solution and less as a desktop daily driver. But to each his/her own, i guess.

>tfw not just vaping the ThinkPad out of the GNU avec Linux
What's the point of buying thinkpads? The quality has gone to shit under Lenovo, they're worse than Apple now. If you want cheap enterprise grade used laptops, Dell and maybe even HP (avoid their consumer stuff like the plague though) are more solidly built. If you want a modern thin and light laptop, thinkpads are hardly the best option.
Thinkshit is a fucking meme that people fall for purely because either A) they spend a lot of time on /g/ and it makes them feel like they're part of the "in" group, or B) buying used business grade stuff makes them feel like they're better than those dumb sheeple who buy consumer grade laptops.
Remember pre-1990, when TV felt like its own niche community? Sure it was full of wholesome and fun characters, but they were creative freaks.
This was before millions of cable channel fuckheads diluted its original feeling into a cheesy whore-fest which is totally unrecognizable from what it used to be.

Hey /g, please help me
Is there a way to mass download PDFs google is giving me as a result?
For example, when I research things about Philosophy and want to get papers from http://philpapers.org/ I google "topic" filetype:pdf site:philpapers.org
When it's giving me like 50 results, is there a way to download all of them without me clicking through them manually?

So i just got a fresh install of wincucks 7 because i need it for my gayming because im a faggot, So i wanted to get a thread going for sharing windows 7 UI mods that change they way windows 7 looks, post what ya got if you got anything, or just call OP a faggot.
give us an example
http://cleodesktop.deviantart.com/art/Numix-Theme-For-Windows-7-482705329
also
http://neiio.deviantart.com/gallery/52302013/Windows-7-VS
I understand Windows
I understand Android
I understand how to program in several languages (C++, Python, GML, Java)
I understand how computers work in detail
I Was a CS Major, switched to IS and have have been around technology for as long as I can remember.
Yet I cannot use any Linux distro without disaster striking every time. I have been on and off trying to learn Linux since I was a kid and I still cannot grasp anything about it.
Changing one small thing will break something completely unrelated. It's unstable as fuck, even Ubuntu shits itself 10 seconds after install.
I don't understand what I'm missing. I agree that W10 is ugly and really shitty, but Linux has done nothing but been a headache. Hell I got a version of post XP split Longhorn running with compositing and proper UI elements working better than any distro.
I have tried:
-Ubuntu (+K, X)
-Mint
-Manjaro
-DSL
-Debian
-Gentoo
-Arch
-and Elementry
On:
-An old 1.4GHz Athlon desktop
-Toshiba APU Satellite laptop
-Pentium based HP laptop with IntelHD onboard
-Intel Haswell Lenovo Y50 with a GTX 860M
-FX8350 based Desktop with a 290X
-i5-6600 based Desktop with a 480
All of them are impossible to deal with. I understand W10 is a botnet, but I can have all of it gone in less time than it would just getting a fucking DE installed on Linux.
And also, where is the stability? I understand I'm a fucking retard, but even with a basic installation Linux distros will just shoot out fatal errors literal minutes after it's first boot.
>>59326602
stfu faggot, nobody cares
>>59326602
Don't use it then, you're not missing anything.
Linux is only used by neckbeards and servers.
>>59326658
I feel like I need to learn it.
