It's said Ryzen is best for someone who does gaming + productivity but it looks like the i7 is the more rounded chip?

Ryzen wins in encoding and rendering definitely but it looks like an i7-7700K is better for everything else

Ryzen 7 is a competitor for the 6900.

It generally does what it does just as well while priced less.

That said, more multithread a program is, the better the r7 will do in relation to the 7700.

AMD really fucked up with Ryzen. I don't know what the fuck they were thinking. It's bulldozer all over again.

They are all identical. Consider them different vendors selling the same product. Founder's Edition cards are just the stock card with the stock cooler developed by Nvidia.

But their warranties aren't. Zotac is by far the best choice for a reference card, since they offer a five year warranty. The best you get from any other company is three.

so im having a bit of an issue.

ive got an old laptop. MSI GX600. im trying to refurbish it so that i can give it to a family member. the hardware is all good (as far as i can tell) but it refuses to accept an operating system.

ive tried win 7, win 10, linux mint, and ubuntu. win 7 just refuses to install period. but 10 and the linux distros will go through and fully install on the hard drive successfully with no errors. when i try to boot from the drive that the operating system was just installed on it reads that nothing is there and just goes straight to the bios boot menu or any other bootable option that it can find that is enabled in the bios.

what in the actual fuck am i doing wrong? ive tried every combination of partitions and and formats and operating systems that i can think of and i still get the same result.

please help.

Its because the user interface is stylized like web 1.0

Its accessible and simple; it focuses on just raw text and image data over flashy borders, without constant scripts running.

Web 2.0 was the beginning of the end of the internet. Everyone got funnelled into ideological prisons by big data.

Let's be honest now, will Vega be able to actually compete against the 1080ti?

Didn't the benchmarks show that Vega basically beat 1080 by a low margin?

I want a new GPU since mine is getting old (6950), and I planned on waiting for Vega to upgrade. But the way it seems right now, AMD won't be able to compete, and you might as well just buy a 1080ti now and not have to wait.

Can we have a proper discussion please?

When is the last time amd composted when it came to the highest speeds. There goal has always been price/performance.
>>
>>59331534
The last benchmark they ran for VEGA, it wasn't even running its own drivers. It was running hacked up Fury drivers.
Wait for Vega to at least get some proper benchmarks out first, because if it even comes close to the same performance of the 1080Ti, it might turn out to be a much better buy in terms of the price.
If its within 5% performance but costs £/$100 less, I'd much rather get the Vega over Pascal myself.

Sweden is now quietly rolling out a massive camera surveillance system with no public discussion.

Before you say /pol/, this is very technology related.

The Police are rolling out a network of their own cameras which they want to combine with as many private cameras as possible.

The UK already has a similar CCTV network.

The real technology news here is the back-end system. These cameras will be tied into a face recognition system which also reads license plates and stores all this information in a massive database.

Some locals try to argue that we are already under surveillance by cellphones and similar. You can choose not to use this technology or leave it at home.

With this new technology roll-out it will become problematic to go anywhere outside without being tracked and put in a database.

That's the m.o., let in a bunch of criminals so they need a police state. Swedistan always had the leftism the worst of all the European countries who let the muzzies in, and we've pretty much all decided to let them fall to show the other europeans what happens. It's funny that in the USA, which has its own black population, that there is no place called little mogadishu.
