This thread is about the appreciation of watches, as well as the micro-engineering and autism that are required to make a fine watch.

Hello /g/entlemen,
I hear from a lot of you that Firefox has become bad.
I have used Firefox for many years, and I think it's time to drop it in the garbage can. But there is the problem, there are many alternatives and I do not know which is best.
I hear that Firefox is now pandering to social justice warrior neckbeard faggots, so I don't want to be associated with these no-lifers.
I have Windows 7 SP1 (loaded) with updates turned off.
Any help will make me appreciate you and any shitpost will make me smile.
Please no botnets.

there's heaps of alternatives and they're all fucking trash.

anything closed source is obvs cancer tier
that leaves chromium (probably a botnet), firecuck forks and shit browsers on github that are on version 0.0.0.5a experimental branch since december 2007

tell you what op if you find an alternative fucking let me know too

I suggest you create your own browser then. Don't forget to create your own browser engine as well.

Hey guys, recently got a 1080TI but I'm still running a 1080p monitor. Debating whether I should get a 2k 144Hz monitor or a 4k 60Hz monitor. What does /g/ think?

I've had a pro 3 for a few years, broke it once and got a free upgrade from M$ after I send it in. The device is fast, lightweight, has a long battery life, and rarely has much problems. tl;dr: its good unless you want to play heavy vidya on it.

Remember how people who made or hosted web content used to administer their own servers and make it their personal responsibility to have that server running?

>administer their own servers and make it their personal responsibility to have that server running?
It makes a fun project if you have never done it before. But there is also a lot of headaches when the data on your server or the service you are providing is valuable.

Letting a large company host your site/data isn't a perfect solution. But in many cases it is a lot less of a hassle.

>>
>>59444838
Somebody needs to start a support group for people who have poor cable management in their PCs. EVGA - why do you sell modular power supplies and make the cables shorter than in non-modular units thus making the whole thing a waste of time?

Asking for a friend obv.

How exactly do I update the microcode of my CPU?
And I mean permanently, not via Windows or Linux.
10 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>59444717
you write code, print it out on a regular white paper, compress it with a hyraulic press to make it microscopic.
You have your microcode now, time to insert it in the cpu.

Delid your cpu. clean it up. superglue the microcode on the cpu cilicon, add thermal paste and hotglue the IHS back on.

AAAAND Voila.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.

There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux" distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

Are you completely retarded? You don't use superglue with your microcode, you need to use a mercury-based conduct glue otherwise it won't work.
