How should I organize my file system? My files have any been a mess. I've never found a good way to do it. I've been using the default My Docs, pics, etc
What's a better way to organize?
put everything in the recycle bin

I used to but my friend used CCleaner and it blew away all my stuff.
Luna was a mistake.
Watercolor is the best UI after Windows Classic.

Even Royale was better than Luna.

What is this shit on my RX480?
My research shows that this is a known bug for over 12 years. I will never buy AMD again!
bamp
AYYMD HAS NO DRIVERS
>>59579211
>RX480.
>12 years.
Can you at least try?
Stop using LastPass RIGHT NOW
Yet another exploit found. Fourth one this week
This piece of shit is compromised and can no longer be trusted
>>59579199
I can't wait for C fags to defend this.
>>59579199
I hope he cleaned up after himself

Feels good to use an offline password manager.
>shitty drivers
>no games
>buggy as fuck
>take longer to boot than Windows
>autistic community
>as secure as Windows
>have to remember commands to use it
>no software (solidworks, flstudio... etc)
>fixing simple problems is a nightmare
>dosent support secure boot
>some printers/hardware are not supported
Is there a reason to use this piece of shit?
Try Google.
>>59578918
> shitty drivers
I bet last time you had Linux was 10 years ago. I only had one driver issue, and Ubuntu offered a streamlined way to install the driver.
> no games
Steam
KDE Games (shitty but exists)
> buggy as fuck
Stop using Arch Linux
> take longer to b-
Windows hibernates rather than shuts down anyway.
> autistic community
Get outside 4chan.
> as secure as Windows
I'd like to see a Windows/Linux virus comparison.
> have to remember commands to use it
Unless you use a mainstream distro like Ubuntu.
> no software
Libreoffice, Steam, Firefox.
If you're tied to a specific software for a specific reason, then dualboot.
Almost every common software has a web app counterpart.
> some printers/hardware not supported
Cue "vicious cycle" meme
> Is there a reason to use this piece of shit?
Bragging about how /comfy/ it is on /g/
>>59579191
So basically the only reason to use Linux is to rice is with Chinese cartoons and brag about it to retards on /g/?
Is there even a point to upgrading a computer that's only a few years old?
CPUs haven't gotten much better, a three year old SSD boots Windows in under 10 seconds and although GPUs have made progress, 4K at 60fps is still a bit too much.
What will the next exciting upgrade be?
>>59578882
depends on how much money you're willing to spend.
you can always build a new 16+ core workstation.
>>59578882
I always wait 4 years between upgrades. Seems to be the optimal amount of time to suddenly realize my PC is an old piece of shit and replace it.
>>59578882
If all you do is normalfag shit, upgrade hasn't been required for 6-7 years now. A lot of people are still on Core 2 Quads and doing fine.
My moms laptop is stuck on this screen. She's never had a password on her computer, but it's all of a sudden asking for one. I tried just clicking without typing anything like I've done before, but it keeps saying password is incorrect. I tried reinstalling Windows but keeping personal files but that didn't help. Any suggestions?
Give it back jamal
give it back tyreese

THE WALL JUST GOT 10 FEET HIGHER FOLKS!
how can they justify this?
>>59578680
by using a clearly defined set of rules. Oh look, they did. So you're point, and your thread, and probably you, are worthless.

I am so fucking tired of this shit, What the fuck is wrong with world. Like normally you only had to block the cancerous URL's and allow the main site, But look at this, I only allowed the main-site and already got this crap.
I can't believe there are retards out there browsing the web without an ad blocker, let alone a JavaScript blocker and a Cross-site request blocker.
Those are internal links to other content on their website, not ads
>>59578408
As long as the ads aren't offensive pop ups and they are silent, I don't give a fuck simply because I don't look at them.
>>59578431
>not ads
>domain.x/facebook_call_home.js

I had a Windows update that required restart yesterday.
Can you make decent 2d games with python and pygame?
You can make """decent""" 2d games with any language. Depends on what you reference as the subjective decent though. Decent is your average top 500 free games on the app store.
Good would be like fallout shelter level of care.
>>59578206
No.
>>59578206
You can make small games with it like platformers and RPGs and shit, for larger projects it's best to use something else.
Which aftermarket card are you guys waiting for? I'm thinking about getting pic related.
>>59578190
Sorry, I'm not gay.
>>59578219
I am
>>59578190
But I only need a 480 @ 1400mhz for my 1080p and 1440p display
Why doesn't Aplel just add a mouse pointer and a trackpad when it's docked to the keyboard?
I don't get it.
>>59578085
Because it isn't a laptop. I have an iPad Pro and can't think of a single instance where I'd want to have a cursor.
>>59578118
What the fuck do you use that big fucking display for?
>>59578163
It's actually mi wife's. She replaced her laptop with it and mostly draws on it with the pencil, browses the internet and watches youtube. I've used it plenty but can't imagine using a trackpad with it.
>The lead developer (Ruben Rodriguez) of Trisquel is one of the accused FSF employees in their recent discriminatory firing of a trans person from the FSF...
Is trisquel ourdistro?
There's no evidence available that it was actually discriminatory. Leah Rowe admits she handled the situation poorly, by outing the former FSF employee as transgender, but I also think she shouldn't have publicly named the people responsible for the firing. It's not likely we'll get any more information, which is understandable, but without it we have to assume there was no discrimination.
Anyway, Trisquel is not updated very often. The most recent version is based on Ubuntu 14.04. If you want a modern fully free distro go with Parabola, which keeps up to date with new package versions from Arch. Or just use Debian with only the main archive section.
>>59578326

wtf i love trisquel now.
>ask comp sci major to fix my computer

But why tho?
>>59577682
Computer science doesn't teach how to fix computers.
>>59577692
whats the point then?
>>59577682
He's probably lost his mind being mr tech support guy for every random idiots issues which could be solved by typing in the error code in a search engine.
Though it's a good way to so to speak gain favor for the future.
