Hello /sqt/! Looking for help with my little sister's Android phone. I recently bought her an LG K7 to replace her older and obsolete LG L90 that was 4G only. Issue is that the phone only came with 8GB internal storage. 4GB of which is already taken up by Android OS. We're on the T-Mobile network and her phone is currently on Android 5.1.1 with all security patches. As far as I know, 5.1.1 is incapable of formatting her microSD storage for use as internal storage as that's an Android 6.0.1 benefit.

Is there anything or any app I can use to force installed apps onto the SD card without breaking functionality? She uses Snapchat, Kik, and other such teenage girl apps to do her equivalent of shit posting with her friends.

Otherwise we're stuck waiting for the 6.0.1 OTA update (if the K7 will even get it at all). Help me help my imoto /g/. I feel bad enough as it is having bought her that phone. Seemed too good to be true at $90 brand new. Should have just bought her the Samsung S6 they had for $200.

This is a repost from the last thread.

Using fly gps on pokemon go after I broke my fucking hip and am stuck at home. Some days I can teleport and run around my local shopping centre fine and it is stable. Other days it fucking rubber bands me every 1.5 seconds continuously and has zero stability. tried all the guides, even alfoil and it wont fix the problem. Why is it so inconsistent?

What exactly is the point of this? Isn't the whole point of Pokemon Go that it's ER? Which obviously won't work if you've spoofed the location.

Can't you get a wheelchair or mobility scooter if you absolutely must play pokemon?

So what's the deal with rockchip?

I noticed that they're used in tablets and set top boxes. How are their processors any different from the others?

What does /g/ think about rockchip as a processor company? Have they released any products worth buying?

Post your component list, rate other anons', and ask questions in general.

Always state the purpose of your PC, your budget, AND YOUR COUNTRY if outside the USA.
If you are asking for improvements, clarify whether you want to lower price or to improve specs or build quality.

Assemble your parts list; built-in price comparisons by vendor and a compatibility filter.

Have a budget, but don't know where to start? This will recommend you a parts list based on price.

Is HyperThreading/SMT really working outside video editing?

Not that they are great games, but Ghost Recon Wildlands uses 14 threads, and Elite Dangerous uses all 16 of my 1700X. When the GF starts streaming from my PC to the TV in the bedroom, I don't notice it all, so I'm guess my highly multithreaded environment works quite nicely. My old 8320 @ 4.5 was decent, but not this seemless, especially when she choses a movie using high bitrate h265.

No, it won't you gullible idiot.
The only ones which can make a difference are text only browsers. Your modern browsers which do HTML5+CSS+JS will all be equally slow on the same pages, retard.

Real question for people with mechanical keyboards like the one in the picture. How well do they really work? I can see all the function keys but they're not primary keys if that makes any sense. How long did it take you to get used to? I'm typing on a crap Microsoft keyboard that makes my hands hurt and I'd really like to upgrade.
33 posts and 6 images submitted.
>>
Usually if you want to press F1 on that keyboard for example, you'd press FN+1. On some keyboards you can do a similar combination to switch the entire keyboard layout to a different layer where they keys have different functions, which in that example would be FN+< I believe, then just pressing 1 would get you F1 while you have that layer active, and to switch back to the regular layer you'd press FN+M.
After you get everything set up how you want to, doesn't take much longer than a week to get used it and have the shortcuts you use often in your muscle memory. After I got used to my 60%, I keep pressing the FN combinations for secondary functions every time I have to use a larger keyboard.
>>
for the record, I use the keyboard in the picture (pok3r) at work, and it's excellent.

Compact like that sacrifices too much. One lives on a shared machine at work, and it's a pain in the ass for everyone but the prick who put it there
