Why does this sometimes exist?

Error detection with ADDA conversion/processing latency with shit monitors

Rounding error, 99.9% of the time 60hz monitors are actually 59.94hz some programs round up and some incorrectly round down

What about some video games that have all the resolutions listed in both 59 Hz and 60 Hz?

I do. I'm the only one of my friends using GNU/Linux.

So, I just installed the Linux OS. I like this whole idea of freedom and everything seems to be fine aside from some minor issues i'm experiencing.
>no thumbnail view in the file picker
>no Microsoft Office
>no games
>no photoshop
>no After Effects
>no DAWs
Are there any computer experts on /g/ that could help solve these small bugs on my Linux computer?
Just install Windows 10 sweetie
>>59597027
>Get used to not having a thumbnail view in the file picker. You'll see your productivity skyrocket in a week.
>Use Open Office. It's going to look like shit when someone tries to open it on Office, and your excel data may just cease to exist when they do, but your productivity will skyrocket once you start using the superior free alternative.
>Don't play games. Get rid of your friends if you have to. Your productivity will increase a lot under linux if you stop playing games.
>Use Gimp instead of photoshop. It's missing thousands of features that photoshop has, but once you get used to it you'll be way more productive than you could have even dreamed of being when using a Mac.
>I don't know what a DAW is, but get used to not having it or find a free alternative. You'll be much more productive with superior free software (or lack thereof).
>"the linux os"

are they still having ARAs repair iPhones in the precinct while the customer waits?
>>59597034
I didn't work at the store. I worked at a repair warehouse where they sent in computers that needed hardware replaced.
I'm pretty sure they don't do that anymore. A lot of liability issues came from it because they hire dipshits with no repair experience. They just express replace most phones now.
Wow boring.
What was the most disgusting PC you have seen?
The endgame. Weep, for all is lost.

lucky for you, you are in control and can delete all the shit you want.
or better yet, get gentoo and install only the shit you want
It's trash

Friendly reminder not to shill and/or meme Sennheisers outside of your designated """neutral""" shilling general.
Anyone know roughly how long it takes Massdrop to ship to Southern California after they ship something out?

TLDR: Blue messages sent from an iPhone indicate that it's sent from iMessage and the cost is exempt from the phone's carrier while green indicate messages that are send to android phones and carry a carrier charge

>Your PC uses a processor that is designed for the latest version of Windows.
In this thread, post the most autistic tech you can think of
Here me out on this one and explain why it's a shitty idea no ones done before.
>Be Linux distro
>leave a persistent windows VM running in the background
>VM is hibernated like when you close your laptop, to not waste system resources
>when you double click on an exe file, the distro will awaken the VM and use it to install/run the software
It won't bridge the performance gap of running exe files on windows or Linux, but it will help massively with the compatibility gap, right?
So why hasn't this been done yet?
>use linux to use windows instead of just using windows
lmoa
>>59596519
Only for the few windows programs that aren't on Linux, like Photoshop for example.
>>59596574
Pretty sure the majority of those programs besides gaymes run almost perfectly with Wine.
Neat or practical programs for PC? (Windows, Linux, Mac, etc.)
bump for this. been on macos for a month and have no idea what are essentials. app store is a fucking joke and sourceforge is a clusterfuck. all i've done is play around with homebrew.
