Someone please teach me how to hack not the general term for it but he now in depth version of it and how it is done. And how to do other shit 4chan users do like pinpointing location. That shits cool!

Theoretically what information can an ISP get from you?
Pretty much any website that's relevant uses SSL so all the ISP would know is that you visited a site.
They would know that you visit 4chins, but not that you're using /g/, /b/ or whatever, nor would they know what you post.
Are people over-hyping this?
I've seen the lists they have. They would see you visited /g/.
4chan org
4chan org/g/catalog
4chan org/g/thread/10000
etc...
if you use https they will only see that you visited 4chan.org not 4chan.org/g
if you use tor, they won't see shit ;)
use HTTPS everywhere plugin

and Tor

Your IQ have dipped to the negatives since you are roasted that day, you need physiotherapy.
is this build /g/ approved?
things of note
>edit videos for $ but primary focus is for gaming
>currently have 16 GB of RAM and reach max usage, need more (hence 32)
>already have 10TB of hard drive space, need more
>prefer to always have an optical drive, blu-ray because the standard probably won't be changing any time soon
>have wired connection but want wireless card
>don't really know much about new mouse and keyboards
>>59666449
>buying anything above the 1700
literally why
The 1700 overclocks exactly the same as 1700x and 1800x
Also, I'd make sure your ram kit is capable of running 3200hz.
I have some 3200 TridentZ that work with my ryzen build
>>59666449
I'd go with the i7 7700k. Faster in games, cheaper, and still runs with the 8 core Ryzen in encoding.
Why are you getting a 2TB Caviar Black when you can get 5TB drives for cheaper? Unless you have another and you're gonna RAID them, look into externals. Perversely, hard drives are cheaper with an enclosure, SATA to USB bridge, and power supply than they are bare.
The rest looks good. I don't know about keyboards either -- I've been using the same one since 1999.
Oh, I'm probably going to upgrade my 50" Panasonic to a 4K 60" or 65" anyone have suggestions for that? Staying under $1000 for the television. I've seen some around $700 at Walmart. I don't really know much. Anyone have thoughts on that?
https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2017/03/first-horseman-privacy-apocalypse-has-already-arrived-verizon-announces-plans
>Within days of Congress repealing online privacy protections, Verizon has announced new plans to install software on customers’ devices to track what apps customers have downloaded. With this spyware, Verizon will be able to sell ads to you across the Internet based on things like which bank you use and whether you’ve downloaded a fertility app.
>Verizon’s use of “AppFlash”—an app launcher and web search utility that Verizon will be rolling out to their subscribers’ Android devices “in the coming weeks”—is just the latest display of wireless carriers’ stunning willingness to compromise the security and privacy of their customers by installing spyware on end devices.
>The AppFlash Privacy Policy published by Verizon states that the app can be used to “collect information about your device and your use of the AppFlash services. This information includes your mobile number, device identifiers, device type and operating system, and information about the AppFlash features and services you use and your interactions with them. We also access information about the list of apps you have on your device.”
>the policy also illustrates Verizon’s intent to gather location and contact information: “AppFlash also collects information about your device’s precise location from your device operating system as well as contact information you store on your device.”
>And what will Verizon use all of this information for? Why, targeted advertising on third-party websites, of course: “AppFlash information may be shared within the Verizon family of companies, including companies like AOL who may use it to help provide more relevant advertising within the AppFlash experiences and in other places, including non-Verizon sites, services and devices.”
Bad times ahead.

>borrow phone from carrier
>surprised that they do stuff on the device that they own
>>59666448
Hold on. Let me get this straight. They actually have to install something on my device to spy on me?
That's nothing. I thought I would have to get a VPN.
>copy some not that important but important sounding confidential data to the phone
>wait the spyware to take the bait
>sue Verizon for industrial espionage
>repeat until dead

How do I start building a music player that supports flac?
I'm doing a CS degree but I feel like it's worth my while to actually be able to make shit and not just balance trees.
I'm pretty comfortable with programming in general but I've never made much with a UI or made much that's actually useful. I want to design a music player just as a learning project mainly.
Where do I get started?

You want to do something useful? Port MPC-HC's UI to mpv. Make sure to set the keybinds to MPC-HC's defaults while you're at it.
Anyone else feel like the modern computing environment has made them much less intimate with their hardware? I feel like I have no control over what happens with my computers, phones, etc anymore, which in turn has made me feel just really dull and somber about them. Microsoft, Google, etc have contributed to this more than anyone else. There's no dictating what happens with your software anymore, unless you're willing to forfeit connectivity with the rest of the world, which is more than likely located on these platforms. Everything's made in a proprietary environment in a proprietary language, made with an open source toolkit coded in javascript. Nothing is digital anymore, everything is constantly shifting and toiling, and the men up top are going to control whatever they deem necessary.
I just can't bring myself to care about this shit as much as I used to be able. Nothing feels mine anymore, everything is under license. I'm probs gonna install linux of course but I'll just be back to windows in a few months.
>>59666280

I still find ways to get "intimate" with my computer.
>>59666280
>but I'll just be back to windows in a few months.
Why?
It sounds like you hate it.
Serious question. Of women I've worked with, some were capable, some were completely incompetent, but none were what I would consider good, or my equal. I've worked with several men I'd consider better developers than myself. I pair all day, every day, so the skill differences are extremely salient.
If I'm to be more precise, I find that the women I've worked with whom I've considered competent often were very short-sighted with their solution design and wanted to hack things together instead of considering the bigger picture and long-term ramifications of their design decisions.
Anyone else have experiences with this topic?
