So what are the best mobos to get with ryzen 1700?
>>59696466
asrock taichi
Depends.
Look at the power management and find the right chipset for your needs.
They're all pretty much RAM agnostic now up to 3200mhz. With an update coming soon™.
>>59696466
If you don't care about SLI, the Asrock AB350 Pro4 is probably the best B350 board
ITT: Technological buyer's remorse
>AMD FX8350
Should have gotten a 3570K back then instead
>Filco keyboards
Should have just bought a cheaper keyboard which is virtually the same at 1/3 the price
>QNIX QX2710
Horrible backlight bleed when it's dark making it almost unusable at night or when displaying dark images
>Toshiba Encore tablet
Windows 8.1/10 Is horrible for tablets; Windows tablets are horrible in general and should only be used as 2-in-1s
>Samsung 840 Evo
My desktop takes 30 seconds to boot still and the general performance hasn't really changed except for really slow programs like GIMP
>Fiio M3
Bad battery life & no seamless playback
>Fiio E17
Fell for the "you need an amp/dac" meme
>Beyerdynamic DT880
Overpriced and should've gotten something cheaper instead
>Thinkpad T420
Bad build quality around to display bezel and bad TN display
>T500
The 6th easiest laptop on planet Earth (Sol-3) to root remotely.

>My desktop takes 30 seconds to boot still
Please don't tell me you didn't reinstall your OS onto it.
>>59696330
I did and tried several clean installs but it's still slow. I have shitty ocz vortex in my t420 and it boots in 10 seconds

Not sure what the problem is. Are you hiding something? Maybe try addressing that instead?
Well, since yesterday my internet has been constantly going down, time after time. It disconnects, some of the lights go out, then the lights slowly come back (reconnects) and I can enjoy internet for another few moments before it dies again.
The computer is only a few months old, and I already tried connecting the modem to a laptop and the same thing happens, so it can't be the PC.
Also I called the ISP and they are going to send me a technician but in almost a week, and that is a lot of time to be without internet.
Tried changing some cables and it didn't fix anything.
Trying changing the MAC and the DNS also, and nothing.
Also, it's weird and I'm not entirely sure, but it seems to work fine if I don't use internet or if I watch streamings? It looks like it disconnects whenever I use it.
Any idea what can it be? Can I fix it from here or I have to wait for the technician?
>>59696252
>MAC
Found your problem.
>>59696252
Try a different outlet. Install Gentoo.

Have you Tried changing to Gentoo my friend?
Portable tech used to be so much more interesting pre-iPhone.
There were shitloads of wacky designs on PDA:s and phones, now most things are just almost identical slates. There were several OS:s, now there are only a few.

I always wanted one of those.
i'd hit 6-7 God damned keys typing on that thing

>gained
Gained what? It shows that AMD has lost ground in the month of march, much larger than the previous 4-6 months following.
Guess what that means.
>Ryzen is shit, i should just buy Intel and be done
Can't wait for the buyers remorse to hit them in the coming months
Here are the questions I use in my game development company:
You must find out the height of a healthbar using the health but also must have a fraction.
Normal Healthbar:
[==========]
Example:
>100% Health with Fraction 10 become [==========]
>57% Health with Fraction 2 becomes [=====.....] (aka 50%)
>80% Health with Fraction 2 becomes [=====.....] (aka 50%)
So the question is...
>What is the formula for this?
This is what you're given
>int Health = 80;
You must write it in 1 line, final value must be 0 to 100.
One more thing, fractions range from 2 to 10.
So here is what you're given
>int Health = 80;
>int Fraction = Random(2, 10);
>// Do your code here
no one wants your ill-stated integer division job
no idea how to do this

32-bit was the first architecture to introduce a hardware backdoor
A 286 ought to be enough for anyone.
>>59696028
What was the most powerful non-backdoored Intel CPU?
What about also taking into consideration multi-CPU configurations?
Okay, so I do a lot of music production type stuff. I'm on an older FX processor and I use my PC for professional means when it comes to audio. Is audio production more focused on multi-threaded or single-threaded performance? I can't seem to find anything on the matter. Would be great if someone could give me some insight. I use Cubase and Protools (Windows).
Might want to look into latency checkers first. I don't have much experience into pro audio but I think most have dedicated interfaces that take care of audio processing and the computer just records.
>>59695905
yes, to some degree I understand it's the drivers and the interface but unless you have dedicated DSP interfaces such as the UAD Apollo (software is coded specifically for the hardware), I think most of the processing is done by the CPU. That's why I'm curious as to what I should get in terms of the CPU. I'm willing to go all-out. A lot of the heavy projects that I work with seem to be limited by the CPU/DSP.
>>59695861
It's all about latency when it comes to audio. You can have multithreaded apps but, again, it all comes down to latency.
Not sure why you're asking this Q.
Well, /g/?

>>59695678
don't have it installed myself but my guesses are
- speed
- more customisation
- less botnet

I think it had to do with some threads not stopping and exiting gracefully before quitting but i don't work there anymore so i couldn't care less
I was just wondering if it was possible to plug in an HDMI cable from my pc to my ps3 to use as a monitor?
fkn dumbass
Why would you want to use your PS3 as a monitor?

Is there a good tutorial out there to learn how to do diagrammatic modeling in LaTeX?
Or should I just give up and use yed and import the diagram I make to LaTeX?
Is it worth it to also/instead learn how to make graphs and shit in LaTeX?
does the percentage you get in a single class affect your overall gpa
Say I get an A+ in the class but not 100% percent of the marks
would 3.9 be added to overall gpa or 4.0
I'm after a monitor that's 1440p, g-sync, and displays really nice colours. I watch a lot of Bluray rips and game, but I don't play FPS or online shooters.
Colour quality is important. I've been looking at some IPS displays that are 1440p, but there are huge numbers of complains about "light bleed" and shit like that.
Recommendations? I'm in Australia.
