What's the last verifiable piece of open source code that Stallman has written? Is he just a lazy turd who goes around giving the same pre-packaged talks?

New to /ibmg/ or looking for purchasing advice? (hint: don't buy anything made after 2008, it makes life easier)

If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN IBM DESIGNED THINKPADS if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™
Thankfully Lenovo waited several years before changing the ThinkPad line, so Lenovo branded models such as the ThinkPad T61, R61 and X61s are safe bets.

Recommended models:
T60/T61 - 14", 15", Normal size, plenty of power

X60s/X61s - 12", Comfy size, plenty of battery
(if you want more power and less battery life, opt for the non 's' edition)

R60/R61 - 14", 15", Excellent value, tied with the T60 in performance, these models have a thicker body but no roll cage

Rare ThinkPads to grab:
X40 - (new chink battery mods make it a serious option)

T40-43P - (Flexview, classic M CPU)

Why IBM ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>Used machines are dramatically cheaper than Lenovo ThinkPads
>Keyboards had more travel and click under IBM
>Display housing and chassis had less flex and more modularity under IBM
>More LEDs
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing in the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.
>No NSA, CIA, FBI backdoors in CPU, new ThinkPads have this issue
>better aesthetic ie no gigantic bezels and greyed color, better logo/keys

In addition to producing more reliable and aesthetic ThinkPads, IBM made some of the best servers and desktops of their time, many of which can still be sourced for cases or daily use

Specs are leaked already, we know:
580: On new pcb with xtx designation
improved vrm cooling, ram @8000mhz
1340mhz boost clock
570: On existing 480 pcb, ram bumped to
7000mhz, 1240 boost clock
560: full fat 460 pcb, 1024sp, 1287mhz boost
clock, 4gb only
550: ??? low spec when the 560 is targeted at
<$99, I think this will be about the same
performance as the new apu igp and this will be
marketed as a basic display adapter for ryzen
and a dual graphics/hybrid xfire card for the new lineup.
Slightly lower pricing rumored across the polaris line

Also, before someone says that it just preserves what we have now. The FTC previously had this same regulation but it had to be reapplied by the FCC when the FTC regulation got struck down in court. So yes, this is a new thing.

Suppose I have a router that is connected to two other routers.

How do I figure out what IP address and subnet mask I assign to the interfaces? Would this setup only require a /30 subnet mask, or would I have to go to /29? Do I end up with 192.168.1.128 or similar as my IP address? Do I have to use Class A/B/C?

I haven't been able to find any decent tutorials on how, exactly, you determine IP addresses and subnets for anything. A lot of stuff kind of explains the general meaning of it all, but nobody anywhere seems to go step by step through the process explaining why and how you choose an IP address for a router.

A good chunk of the internet goes behind a paywall. That which doesn't is paid for by ads for said content, embedded so it can't be blocked.

Or you could just use MadVR.
>>
>>59726164
I am talking about MadVR you cuck
>>
>>59726010
Disable DXVA then, you'll get the same quality as the CUVID one. DXVA sacrifices more quality for performance than CUVID does. Just use the software decoder if you don't like that. Modern CPUs are fast enough unless you have a 4K video or something encoded with weird expensive settings.

>>59726175
OP pic specifically says not MadVR. Also MadVR has nothing to do with this. MadVR is postprocessing to enhance appearance. This is about the MP4 decode step itself.

How many hours of free time a day do you have? If it's less than 12 I wouldn't bother install Arch because you have to spend 99% of your time fixing broken things, all because the stupid archfags want the latest experimental versions of everything. I recommend a stable distro such as Debian.

>inb4 muh ancient packages
If you desperately need a newer version for an actual feature and not just to bump the version number then you can compile it yourself
