>youtube's new layout
What's with web developers and why can't they get anything right?
You don't see this kind of shit with other kinds of programmers (I'm being really lenient here calling web developers programmers).
>go to YouTube
>the site layout is totally fucked
>it's ok because I always ignore the front page
>go to search
>the text is fucking white
>on a white background
>find video I want
>it buffers for nearly a minute
>every other page on the internet loads instantly
>when the video loads everything disappears
>only the video window and search bar are left
>everything else is white space
Goddamn, why is YouTube such a pile of hot shit?

Mines a Strix 1070 OC.
Might actually help some people around here.
is this bait? wtf increasing the voltage max dude thats unstable as fuck and 92 max temps? r u memeing?
>>59722111
92c limit shouldn't hurt anything.

Overclocking a GPU is only worth it if
>you have the money to burn
>you dont care about product lifespan
>you dont care about the memory chips frying in less than two years
>the extra 10-15% is vital to game performance
Likewise, overclocking a CPU is only worth it when you want to maximize system memory efficiency. The added 10% and chances of burning out your components is only worth it if you dont care about spending $$$ on replacements in a given time frame.
These days OCing hardware is mostly worthless. Now, if youre running nehalem, sandy or ivy that's a different story.
Nice thread, tripnigger.

Post your component list, rate other anons', ask questions in general.
State the purpose of your PC, your budget, AND YOUR COUNTRY if outside the USA.
If you are asking for improvements, clarify whether you want to lower price, or improve specs or build quality.
List games or software you use if applicable and if you mostly stick to those.

>The cheapest way to build a PC is buying one part at a time as you see flash sales, not buying all parts at once. An entire build worth of good components will rarely be on sale all on the same day.
>Don't feel bound to one specific brand/model of a component. Parametric filters on pcpartpicker can help with this, if your monkey brain can figure out how to use them.

So toms hardware says it's not worth it to upgrade only 2 tiers, should be at least 3.

No. Spend 10% of that on a used eeePC or something then install a minimal Linux system. The point of a machine that small is quick and dirty portability not a desktop replacement.
No, I'd get it for literally half of that price

Back in the 90s and early 2000s, technology was awesome - there were always new things to look forward to, and advances in many different technologies were happening almost daily. It was such a great time to be alive - everything was interesting and cool, and there were tons of new things to look forward to.
Today, though, technology is... boring. There really isn't anything new, and what passes for new these days are just small iterations on what has come before, and everything is normie-fied to boot. The excitement and joy of upgrades and new tech is gone. There's nothing special about it today either.
Feeling kind of blue today, /g/. Anyways, your thoughts on tech of the past, and anything that's exciting you these days?
