I just got a new laptop (ASUS).
Seems like a simple question but how should I set it up to optimise privacy, security and hardware lifetime?
Are there guides available?
I mean there are some obvious things such as run a VPN, remove bloatware, privacy settings, tracking blockers, etc.. What else am I missing?
Also, could Windows play up if I go into Command Prompt and force uninstall all their bloatware like 'Xbox', 'Twitter', 'People', etc..

I have had fucking enough. 3 fucking times I bought this mouse, and each time it magically breaks within weeks after the warranty expires. I really like Microsoft hardware for how comfy it is but fuck this shit that can't last 13 months.

I bought an external HDD on impulse by *gulp* Seagate.

Bought them on a whim because I have a macbook and iphone. They are truly great. Fantastic battery life in a small form factor with a great charging case. The pairing process is actually magic and switching between devices is also automagic once I've paired them once because it pairs them to every device on my apple account. This is what bluetooth should be like.
They do look a bit funny though in the ear

Something that can run smoothly with 3 IDEs and 2 VMs at once. Also games sometimes.
It'd be great if it could take ocassional spill or fall and still run like nothing happened.
I thought about a thinkpad, but shitty low energy CPUs and general lack of sensible GPU makes me doubt it's product for me.

You should be fine unless like this anon says >>59741392, you're streaming. Now you'll still be able to stream, but expect to have to lower the stream rate a bit to avoid FPS drop. Also why 1080ti for 1440p? Why not a regular 1080?
