What do you think about this?
I could buy 10 of these, install an SSD for ~$100, install a free copy of Windows 10 and then sell them for $250ea
Think I'd be able to sell them easy at that price? $100 profit per computer could buy a lot of beer
>>59746988
I don't think you know what you're talking about, if it was that easy everybody would be doing it. Normies want new cheap laptops.
>>59747049
But normies would also like the idea of a $250 computer though, wouldn't they? Especially a "brand new 256gb super fast SSD for only $250"

What else would he use? Don't tell me you think the best hacker in the world would spend 90% of his time ricing his anime desktop on i3 or something gay like that.

Hello /g/, I know just a little about PC hardware and I'm not sure if I should upgrade my current machine or just get a new one all together.
I've had this dell since late highschool, I bought it off craigslist for $20 and it hasn't given me any shit what so ever so I've kept it. I am thinking about PC gaming soon and want to know if I should throw one of those tiny GTX 1050 in this or scrap the whole machine and invest in a newer PC. I don't have much of a budget.
I kinda have this mentality of "why fix what isn't broken" so I haven't really considered upgrading. This machine does everything It want it to but play games.
Overwatch would be probably the most I'd ask for, maybe battlefield 1 in medium settings.
Its the 3rd optiplex 760 in the picture, very small.
Also, would the GTX 1050 be too much for the 235w power supply it comes with?
Thanks
>>59746897
234 PSU is lol tier at least get a decent 500 W one.
>>59746897
This is the 1050 I was referring to, it looks the exact same size as the gt 610 currently installed.
>>59746927
I have no clue what power supply would even fit in this. The PSU installed is oddly shaped and tiny as fuck.

I'm taking a networking class that reads pic related. I'm a little over half way and we've gone through Application, Transport and Data/Control planes of IP. I find this subject very interesting. Wondering if anyone has any experience as networking engineers and if this path is worth pursuing or it's simply overkill to get a shit-tier web dev job?
They say the CCNA makes you super hirable, which makes me suspicious that it doesn't
>>59746955
All serious company's use Cisco, juniper, and F5 hardware. If you're looking for getting into network engineering ccna/other Cisco certs sure are worth it.
Also worth looking into cloud stuff, like aws vpc, VMware virtual networks, ASAs snd vASAs

Is it fair that people who work in tech companies in that specific small area of the world make so much money that they can throw breadcrumbs at commoners and laugh at us fighting over them?

Indeed, let's have some fun having thousands of people all around create a false sense of hope for their miserable painful existence and write us essays about their misery..

Ask yourself what you would do if you won 50mil from the lottery. If it's not the same as what you're currently doing, then you're in the wrong profession.

I live and work in Silicon Valley. While people here do make a lot of money you have to remember the COL in this area is very high; high enough that you end up with less money than people working similar jobs in other areas like Austin.

There is more to life than money but you have no access to most of those things at all without money.

C doesn't even JIT, of course JS is faster

Honestly this should be the baseline to remain on this board, I'm only using 2 fingers, and it's too late for me to start over with touch typing because I've typed like this since I was 7.
