Microsoft just released a detailed list of data collected at the Full (highest) telemetry level.
This is the default setting but you are offered to change it during installation on a dedicated privacy page and it's in no way hidden.
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/itpro/windows/configure/windows-diagnostic-data
There is also a page which lists all Basic level events but it's a bit harder to read.
It seems to mostly consist of detailed device specs and configuration, update status, driver information, and simple crash reports.
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/itpro/windows/configure/basic-level-windows-diagnostic-events-and-fields#diagnostic-data-events
For those who want to limit telemetry (Security level) and disable other potentially invasive features, the following page has been updated for Creators update.
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/itpro/windows/configure/manage-connections-from-windows-operating-system-components-to-microsoft-services

So I've been interested in neural networks lately and I would like to make an image recognition program, but I have no idea how to start. Do you know any worth reading text about it?
Bump for interest
Suck my dick
Do you have an Nvidia GPU?
I just got a new boss (IT department) and he wears yellow glasses. /g/, is there any reason behind this? Pic related, they are this exact color. Not style so much, just the color. I don't just want to come out and ask him. Thought you geniuses might have an idea.

UNITYSHIT IS FINISHED & BANKRUPT
AND YES, THE DATE IS NOT APRIL 1ST
Press P to piss on unity's grave
What's wrong with Unity? I've never used it but it looks pretty decent from what little I've seen of it.

Reeeeeeee, I don't like change.
Then again I guess it's nice that this probably kills Mir and we can all go Wayland.
>Canonical has announced via Mark Shuttleworth they are ending their development of the Unity 8 desktop environment and will be switching back to GNOME desktop by Ubuntu 18.04.
>Presumably this also means the end of Mir development too, with GNOME focusing on Wayland. Additionally, Ubuntu is ending development of their phone and convergence initiatives.

This might be one of the best things to happen to Ubuntu in years

Yeah, reddit is so much better.
How much PHP knowledge do I need to start using Laravel? i'm applying for an internship in May and I need to use Laravel there along with Wordpress. I already have a knowledge of HTML/CSS but I'm worried about the back end stuff on this. I have the whole April to study, so will I get the grasp of basics in this span of time? Or I'm fucked? I've only done very basic PHP work before.
>>59753577
Don't know about Laravel, but Wordpress is usually used by fat tumblr feminists who studied commuciation "science".
If they can do it, everyone can do it
>>59754362
I'm supposed to use Wordpress just as a base for themes. Everything is supposed to be written in HTML/CSS. Front-end is not the problem, it's the back-end that worries me

I just ordered one of these without consulting /g/.
Did I fuck up?
So disappointed that I could only get the touchscreen version in black tho. That horrible blue-green colour would really suit the ugly, cheap, POS laptop that I'm going to be using as my linux machine. The eyegougingly bright tackiness is a perfect match for Ubuntu's Unity interface; I would have been the alpha dork.
Jokes aside, it was a pretty good deal imo. It's going to be a piece of shit, but it's also an incredibly cheap piece of shit. It also has an IPS display, and I'm anxious to see just how bad an IPS screen can get.
Oh, forgot to say it's the HP Stream if anyone's interested in googling the specs.

yes if those are specs. emmc is shit. Better off going with acer c720p chromebook. Comes with 16/32gb replaceable m.2 ssd
This is just a rumour to get people to upgrade to 10. Microsoft even say that extended support ends in 2025:

Hopefully the next Windows isn't a botnet.

>Hopefully the next Windows isn't a botnet.
>>59753512
Sorry to say this, but once the snowball has rolled, you better pack warm..
In all of seriousness though, it would take a lot of effort and loss of revenue from Microsoft's side.
Do keep in mind that they 'sell' all of their user's information to other marketing companies.
Whether the above is a fact or just a superstition, is a whole another question though. So practically, it's better to assume the worst case scenario straight off the bat, than 'hoax' everything.

Post your face when you see AMD dying
>>59753508
looks good to me, but it depends on how frequently you trade
>>59753508
Its been hovering between 13-15 for like 3 weeks. at the end of the month when it has its quarterly review, it will probably bump up to around 17-18. I'm expecting 20-25 range overall this year, but if you look at AMDs stock in the long haul, it rises fast, and crashes fast.
/g/ I have what I consider to be a million dollar idea for an app/website, however my coding skills as they stand are merely proficiency in Java.
I currently have 0 money so hiring a somebody to code for me is a non-option, and given the meme I see on /sci/ all the time about
>le ebin any1 can code xD
I figure I'll just do it myself
My question to you is which is objectively easier? Coding a website in HTML or Objective C?
This being said I'd have to do C Objective C and not Java as if I'm going to go the route of an App I would cater to knuckle dragging iPhone users of the youth.
Furthermore if anyone could offer any advice it'd be much appreciated

So /g/ our friends the SJWs and other faggots have made a really good decentralised twitter like network.
Why don't you join the hype and set up your own imossible to mute instance for maximum shitposting ?
Social networks are cancer and AIDS.
Also, how is it different from Diaspora? And what makes you believe it won't fail the same?

Who /data hoarder/ here?
I have all my driver full of files, from back ups from 10 years ago to pirated music that I haven't listened to in 7 years.
How do I break this shitty habit?
Pic unrelated (she was my favorite porn star though).
>>59754875
King me!
Why break that habit, I wish I had preserved my data. I have little recollection of the past, even on this site because I haven't kept any record of it.
