Webdev and mobile are best done on Macs and Linux boxes.

What the fuck is Windows good for aside from muh gaymes? I own a Windows PC and I am asking myself this question. Before I started CS, I got it for Starcraft II. I developed on it because it's what I had. Now it's just a muh gaymes machine.

I tried to make a UWP version of my Xamarin app and it just clusterfucks and fails, so now I have no code transferability. (Never use Xamarin btw. I am abandoning it this year.)

Also, what the fuck is with the GNOME vs. Unity controversy? I've used both. Who gives a flying fuck? I just use Unity because it's the default.

It's odd and a bit saddening to look back at 4chan archives from 2007 and earlier. Before gen y and underage millennials started posting here.

What's really sad is that you are in your forties and (1) post on 4chan and (2) have a gaming PC and refurb thinkpad

They're detaching Google+ from youtube. googlechat was finally killed off and replaced by "hangouts". Why they would replace one chat and videochat for another is confusing.

Youtube Red seems fully retarded; paying for premium youtube content seems silly. I'd imagine its why amazon still has their streaming service; they charge people for it but few people use it.

Is google just throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks?

This has been a strategy of theirs for a while now.

Why are E-Readers so expensive?
Why can't the Chinese use their yellow magic and make a $50 ereader like how they make $250 phones that have the same specs as $800 phones?

I'm a new pifag and am looking for some software probably.

It seems pretty simple but I haven't been able to google it. I just want VNC over Bluetooth. I'd love to control my headless pi via my tablet without using the onboard wifi -- basically so I can instead use that to connect a network at work or wherever where I might need to input credentials.

Any ideas?

almost no sounds are able to play over bluetooth. They just produce a crackling sound.. its either wifi interference or something else i dont understand

How bad is it? This old house has the bathroom lights, some basement lights directly below the bathroom, the outlet to which the televsion in the hall is plugged into, and, of course, the room where my computer is.

Whenever the basement light is on, my screen loses sync and goes black for a few seconds before resyncing each time the bathroom light is turned on or off.

Computer never freezes, bluscreens or anything, None of them do, actually, either, nor the other electronics.

Just this monitor.

32" Samsung HDTV 1366x768

What gives? Is it worth it to run a new line (myself being an electrician's son and one of my roommates being the son of this house's owners, whom all justly trust me).

>or should i just break down and put an osciloscope on the line and then either put a ups in or maybe run the new line if needed idk wut u think senpai

What's /g/ general position on social media? Is it a good thing? Bad thing?

Personally, I've been using a few different social media networks for a few years (namely FB and Twitter, and yes, sometimes snapchat), but I'm beginning to reach a point where I'm now viewing them as a massive time sink, and something that I should eliminate for my own self benefit.

What about you guys?
