as I grow older, I discover how hard it is to keep data for long periods of time. Hard drives and flash drives fail over time and online storage services go out of business. Anyone here kept data for 10+ years on a a single device/service? For everyone else, how do you store it?

Not much. I write 20 lines of Java a day and still get "excellent" on my performance reviews and make six figures. I am a diversity hire though.

To be quite honest your technical skills may be really sharp. Although you were taught things like Agile and SCRUM processes in school, once you get to a workplace every company sort of tweaks it a bit for their organization/department/project. Learning to cope with this from project to project will definitely take some time, at first you'll be a big baby afraid to commit anything. Eventually you'll gain some confidence and productivity will go up.

Hello, /g/.

This is a thread dedicated to cell phone towers and the like.

Questions like those can be answered and discussed.
>What tools does the cellphone tower needs?
> is 3g better than 4g, or is it all a sham?
> gentoo is better than raspberry pi for hooking the cell phone tower.

All you ever need is a think with Gentoo installed
>>
>>62257032
So you don't even have to interact with the cellphone tower?

That part is the essence of this thread.

So what just is the best physical audio format? I want to be able to have my favorite music separate from my main drive and backups in a medium that I can hold. What are my options?
Currently I'm making the decision between minidisc and cassette tapes. Let's have a discussion about the best way of going about this niche hobby.

And how exactly do I know what to block? I hate having to guess and check all the time, it takes too long.
>>
Just use ublock and block all 3p frames and scripts. You'll still have to let things through occasionally, but this will give you most of what you want.

Hi /g/, I'm not sure if this is the right board or not. I'm trying to install Antergos Linux on my PC, but can't do so because my Wifi adapter doesn't have the proper drivers installed. I have the drivers on a Flash Drive, but they are a .exe file which Linux doesn't support. I can't install Wine either because no wifi. How could I go about installing the drivers if I don't have Wine? Also, can't use ethernet because of PC location.

Hi
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wireless_network_configuration#ndiswrapper

Going with a wifi dongle that isn't immediately recognized in your system might be a tough road to take. If it were me, I'd just get a different one of a more common brand (D-Link, TP Link etc)
>>
Is it a desktop? It may honestly be in your best interest to spend the ~$20-$30 on a PCIe WLAN card that has confirmed support.
>>
>>62255379
AC600 has drivers but you need to install them through the AUR and you need internet access. So take your drive and put it in another computer, install them and then put it back..

Also you may have to edit the files. There's no way I am going to help you with this or anyone else, so buy a support wifi adapter

The CPU needs to be paired with a chipset with it enabled.

Most/many consumer boards don't have it enabled.
