WHY? They don't even protect phone from falls, look bad and some times interfere with the capacitive touchscreen.

Protection from scratches. There are some cases where the protector cracks instead of your screen

What's your favorite RAM brand, /g/? I've always used Kingston, but shit's overpriced as fuck. How's Corsair and GSKILL, are they worth it?

Also, why does Corsair RAM sticks look like absolute shit, while GSKILL sticks look like ricer shit? Are they just incapable of producing simple good looking dissipators? Fucking hell.

I remember once buying Corsair and testing it and got like scored 6 on windows mark, bought same speed gskill sniper and got 8.

After then I it buy gskill.

This weekend, I upgraded my OS from Mint "Petra" to Ubuntu "Xenial Xerus" and I have to say, this is great. If shit heads stopped recommending buggy, hacky distros that required hours of tweaking just to be barely usable, Linux might actually be taken seriously.

>15 minutes to install
>literally all my hardware including my graphics drivers worked right out of the gate, no third party fuckery or adding dodgy repos
>took 10 seconds to remove the Amazon spyware
>banged my head against the wall for 10 minutes because Unity was different, then figured it out and made a few adjustments
>surprise, it's better than Cinnamon, Mate, Gnome, KDE, or any of the other fucked up "kind of works" desktops

Explain to me why you guys hate this distro so much? Is it because it actually fucking works and isn't a timesink designed to give you an excuse for why you never go outside?

Pic related, he used to think... but now he thinks ....

only as different as using any other OS, but I applaud OP for powering through

the rest of us require 0 seconds. also something something "dodgy repos"...

http://pitchfork.com/news/70703-tidal-becomes-first-service-to-offer-master-quality-streaming/

Tidal is now offering “master-quality audio recordings” to its highest-tiered subscribers, the company announced. Tidal Masters is available at no extra cost to users who already have a Tidal HiFi subscription. Described as “an audio experience exactly as the artist intended,” Tidal Masters songs are streamed at 96 kHz/24 bit. (For comparison, HiFi audio’s resolution is 44.1 kHz/16 bit, and Spotify’s highest resolution is ~320 kbps, equivalent to Tidal’s Premium tier.)

Tidal has partnered with Master Quality Authenticated to provide the higher resolution audio. Currently, Tidal Masters is available only on desktop. Below, watch a video introducing Masters. Find the streaming company’s master-quality catalog, which includes music from Jay Z, Beyoncé, David Bowie, Madonna, Joni Mitchell, and more.

are the 2tb usb 2.0 flash drives on wish worth the $10?
I don't have cash on hand for 8tb worth of rotary drives and a case+mobo+cpu as a backup, and $40 seems hella cheap for 8tb that I can easily keep as an off-site weekly/monthly backup.
>>
>>59848441
Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series would be a good start. They're not the lightest but they're cretainly not a brick.
Asus also has some good offerings, though their cheaper stuff is kinda flimsy.

I've been using xfce on my laptop for awhile now, but the only applications I use are chromium and terminal applications inside tmux. Most of the stock xfce programs have been replaced with lighter alternatives (ranger, vim, sxiv, mpv, mupdf, etc.).
There's no point in running xfce anymore, what's a good replacement? I don't wanna go tiling cause I already use tmux, which I'm quite happy with.

Please uninstall brave and install Firefox, or you may be put in the camps!

one day youll realise that if someone wants to see what your doing on the internet its not the browser that they need access to, its the traffic, which they acquire through your isp, no obscure "secure indie underground meme hacker" browser is gonna stop that...
use what ever browser, with a vpn, with https, and stop thinking because your hiding your weibo from da man that your getting a one up one them, your not, your just creating a very unique digital finger print.
