Currently worthwhile CPUs:
>G4560 for budget builds (<$500) unless G4620/i3-6100 is heavily discounted
>i3 are only worthwhile for dwarf fortress and single-purpose emulator boxes
>i5 aren't worthwhile. Get Ryzen 5, drop down to G4560, or up to Ryzen 7
>No R5 1400 unless discounted
>i7-6700k is good but pricey. If over budget: consider locked 7700; not chasing 4.8Ghz+ capable when you weren't gonna overclock, or get R5
>Cheap Z270 board is still good for faster memory in games w/ locked 7700, but aren't for overclocking (VRMs suck)

Currently worthwhile GFX cards:

I did see it looked cute but fiji(nano in this case) with it's 4kshaders and minor bump in performance didn't look like a good deal for how much they were charging for it($400+?) kinda wasted tech,plus I can only get them second hand now and it's still expensive af.

My drivers got uninstalled during a recovery, now I finally after hours of DDU's and rebooting, got Radeon to install, but the control panel is still gone with the settings for fps and display.
Full Story:
Everything was going great for about 3 weeks, out of no where my mouse and keyboard stopped working, operated fine on my mac, thought it was a usb problem.
Read somewhere that I needed to put my PC in recovery mode to reset the usb settings, turned off my computer, turned it back on and unplugged the cord as it was starting up. I booted it back up and hit restart and save files, save a few folders but deleted my applications, and for some reason my AMD Radeon Driver and the control panel, I tried to reinstall it about 30 times, ended fucking up my computer, got a program to clean it, helped a bit. Ended up doing a DDU, reinstalled Radeon Crimson, but still no control panel for it. Any way to download the control panel or the settings? Or am I fucked until I get a new monitor?

So I just finished building my ryzen system yesterday and after running benchmarks i noticed my speeds were way too low CPU-Z (latest) CinebenchR15 and the AMD Ryzen Master are all reporting the same 4c8t.
Things I have tried:
Updating Bios
Disabling 2 cores (3+3) - wouldn't boot
Clearing CMOS
Booting into a fresh install of windows 10 (was using win7)
Downclocking and overclocking the CPU
Reseating the CPU
I'm out of ideas I can't find a single thread where anyone has had this same issue. Going to see if i can return it next week since it seems defective (Maybe AMD fucked up on the product line and gave it the wrong hardware ID?)
