Riddle me this /g/. Why does AMD's new line just barely compete with Intel's but cost almost double the price?

Looks like that i5 is just perfect for you.
I'm pretty sure the website also factors the "sentiment" value into the score which is? Weird at the very least.
You're just another corporate shitposter but for the other anons out there, buy whatever you want rather than relying on the shillings of neets of /g/.
If I had to pitch my two cents though, the scores in benchmarks were better for the 1800x which shows a bunch.
Amiga Users, explain yourselves... i'm actually very curious.
Why do you use Amiga in the year 2017... Now i'm not talking retro enthusiasts with the original computers and maybe a 68k upgrade
but like using those monstrous PPC expansion cards... that are still actively using them today or purchasing the really expensive AmigaOne systems and similar products and using those (do those even run the old 68k amiga software?)
I'm not even trying to knock you guys, i'm just generally curious... what do you do, what software do you run, etc., tell me your stories, i am need to know.
i'd love to hear from someone who owns and uses an AmigaOne. i can't even fathom how that company stays in business, there's gotta be barely a handful of people that run AmigaOS

Please sketch that out how you think that would work
Is there a reason more motherboards don't have an io shield attached out of the box?
>>60076853
i would guess that it might not fit in non-standard size cases.
It's trivial either way, who fucking cares. It's easy to for it to the motherboard, harder to for it in the case and shit

Stop using and sharing archive.is links. It's owned by a single shady guy who's eventually going to sell the domain for the highest bidder.
You can easily save a page on https://web.archive.org/ , which is maintained by a serious non-profit organization that has been already for longer than you've been using the Internet.

the owner is a german nerd, probably some merkel voter
don't worry

of those votes which weren't fraudulent i'd say the people behind them are far far worse than even shilary voters

You're really that jealous he/she/it thought of it first, eh?

Scala has largely been superseded by Kotlin, which brings most of Scala's good stuff (syntax sugar, functional programming), without the bad sides (retardedly complex type system).
Kotlin is super comfy to use, I once wrote a raytracer using just a giant chain of map/flatMap/reduce calls.
Why aren't you using this, /g/?
I have the non-autism version. Wish the top and bottom came off as easily as the front.
Because I'm using this.

Do people actually use firejail? Is it a placebo or would you recommend?
>>60076464
i recommend punching yourself in the dick
>>60076827
Fuck you, faggot.
>>60076464
Anyway, I decided to try it out myself.
It was easy to install and it works virtually out of the box.
I just had to edit something in my home configuration directory to give Firefox access to my pictures and videos folder
>>60077603
But is there any reason to firejail programs that aren't web browsers?
What benefit would I get from firejailing say, Clementine, or Okular?

UNIX is relevant as a design philosophy
it's depreciated as a commercial OS
it's derivatives survive and thrive to this day
>>60076359
Fuck you for that gif.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
As to your question, no it isn't. It's relevant from the Unix design philosophy, to the posix standards, libc, and the OSes based on those. Also, there is still a substantial commercial Unix presence, in the financial sectors, and government. You just don't hear about it much anymore, because old, stable and reliable makes for bad headlines, and worse blogs.
I like it when fireworks fuck up because it means that I can throw them in a fire
