How would you go about creating a sort of booking/reservation/rental CRUD web app like this? As in which stacks to use? MEAN? .NET MVC? Django? RaR? I am limited on a month of time, am not that great at any languages except for basic html/css/js and need to create something decent of that sort.

TFW having to write a bashscript to format your data because of shit open source tools. TFW 2017 and you can't manage normal spreadsheet functions that have been around for forever in Excel & Numbers.

You are delivering a message that has been needed. If a solider give his life to an oil war, he is awarded a piece of metal he can never wear. If a cityzen fights the Deep State, he is awarded imprisonament in a small metal cage. There is something greater than seeking truth, recognising lies, truth is everywhere. The truth lies in the shadow away from those that blaze in the bestly(?) light The truth is beginning to emerge. lel i win

>ITT we talk about sleeper PCs
What's your favorite case?
What makes turning obsolete garbage into new amazing computers so satisfying?
Is it the aesthetic?
That is the opposite of sleeper.
Looks valuable but is worth nothing.

Monolithic kernels are bloatware by design.
>>60123654
Microkernels are lower performance by design.
>>60123654
All a microkernel does is unnecessarily move kernel subsystems to userspace and add extra context switch overhead and complexity.
Microkernels are garbage and offer no advantage at all. Monolithic is simpler and superior.

> For L4Linux, the AIM benchmarks report a maximum throughput which is only 5% lower than that of native Linux.
Also, if you're running X11, you can't talk shit about performance.
And for all computers except supercomputers and perhaps some severely limited embedded systems, reliability is more important than performance.

> Unnecessarily
Have you ever written a project over 10 kloc?
Over 50% of Linux crashes are bugs in the drivers. In a microkernel, that wouldn't happen.
My friend texted me and he said his laptop which runs gnu/linux got ransomware
He's not the type to make shit up so I believe him. He makes backups so it's more of an inconvenience than anything else.
But I think I'll install some sandboxing software now.
The only question is apparmor or firejail? I'm using Ubuntu so SELinux isn't an option for me

If you play it, make sure you grab the plus patch.
The GOG patch that comes with it isn't the plus patch, it's just the bugfix patch that doesn't restore content or make a certain infamous tedious segment of the game playable.

Hey /g/
You can make your own imageboard in 30 seconds using software I made.
wget joseph.cx/noodles.sh && sh noodles.sh
Should be ran as root, and only works for Ubuntu and probably debian with some minor tweaks. The software is based on Trevor's TinyIB.

How can I tell if my CPU is fried?
I recently ordered an AMD Ryzen 1800x and a compatible mobo and RAM. What I failed to realize is that my CoolerMaster EVO 212 CPU cooler bracket is for an AM3 chip and this new chip has an AM4 socket. Anyways, (and I know Im fucking retarded spare me the shit) I tried booting into BIOS without connecting my heatsink. About 10 seconds after turning my computer on, I touched the side of the CPU and it literally burned my finger. It had to be at least 90C. How long can a CPU last without proper cooling?
>>60123048
They have thermal resistors and will go into cripple mode before self-destructing.
The newer ones can usually save themselves from sudoku but you likely shortened its lifespan by a large amount. To answer your question: they can last a few more seconds than yours did before they melt.
>>60123048
Depends. Luck and design play a role. Some older CPUs could last months, some CPUs survive maybe a few seconds. They all have thermal protection, but I'd not rely on it.
my play store balance is piling up. what should i spend it on?
>>60123025

There are some really cool and cheap apps that worl really well like camscanner pro, poweramp pro, nova launcher prime. Other than that there are some reallt cheap icon packs too.
Any of you know what voltage these light bulbs are or are you guys not that kind of tech savvy?
>>60123024
look like signal lights on a car so 12v dc
>>60123024
If you aren't able to find out, what are you going to do about it once you know? Determining the voltage and using them kind of go hand in hand. Start with a couple volts ac see if they glow. Voltages of bulbs are usually battery standard voltages. 1.5 volts, 3, 6, 9, 12 volts etc. If it starts to get 'too' bright then use the lowest voltage. It it blows up then you've got three left to run at the lower voltage assuming they're the same. Looks like there's a number on one of them. You can look it up. Incandescent bulbs like these don't burn themselves up like led's and laser diodes. You don't need to limit the current once you get the voltage right. They are basically light emitting resistors. Have fun.
>>60123024
yep, they are light blubs from a many decades old car. I had some of them myself. 12v stuff.
FLIF support in browsers when?
FLIF support on 4chan when?

>it outpreforms...
>lossless

>lossless

So what about lossy algorithms?
If you think lossy encoding isn't necessary then you're supremely retarded.
>>60122945
It's not meant to compete with lossy formats and of course they will produce smaller files above all else.
Have a better preforming lossless format is still worth going for and there a lots of cases where using a lossy format is not optimal like line art images.
FLIF also has a pseudo lossy mode that is still quite good.
>>60122930
Even that's outdated
We have made better formats than PNG and JPG. About a dozen different times
These formats are hilariously outdated
We just continue to use them for the sake of ubiquity
