Can anyone help me diagnose what's going on here? It's not a display failure, since you can see every part of the screen displaying fine at one point or another. The UI responds perfectly, you just can't see it. This seems like a GPU problem or something. The video is showing after a factory reset.

I can actually buy a replacement package with all of the boards, for a pretty reasonable price:
http://www.shopjimmy.com/samsung-un55ju6700fxza-uh02-complete-tv-repair-kit-version-2.htm
I'm just trying to see if I can buy one of the boards individually. If I'm not mistaken, I should just replace the mainboard, no?

This kind of things really makes it hard for me to move away from Windows.
Laptop with g-sync to 100hz and 1060/1070 mobile graphics.
Is laptop gaming finally great?
I wouldnt say great, but its good enough for games currently on the market
>10 minute battery life playing vidya
>excessive overheating leading to excessive thermal throttling leading to dogshit performance
>extremely big, bulky, and heavy
>you look like a teenager using it
I don't know, you tell me
>>60130824
Battery life is just not a point unless you really need 10 hours away from an outlet or business use. Also those current 15" models at 2-3kg are really not that big.
So why is YouTube the only place to get video content in 2560x1440?
Also, reminder that Dreamcatcher is the best debut group of 2017. A dance video of "Chase me" is available in 1440p.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRW29bBK_oM
And "Good night" is even available in 4k.

Here's 4k.
Yeah but it's youtube so it will look like complete shit regardless
also what's the best audio quality in youtube, i heard it was mp3 192kbps?
I am the best at building PCs. This thread is for people who don't just want general random advice but rather something targeted towards their needs, which takes use, budget, and skill at building into consideration along with aesthetics.

>everything /g/ related is help back by battery technology
>we will never have actually good smartphones, laptops and any other tech gadget until someone invents some new ground-breaking battery
W-why haven't we broken this barrier yet?
What's missing?
What's keeping us from unlocking our full gadget potential because of battery problems?
>>60130461
Batteries today are really good. It's just that gadget makers, instead of increasing runtime, decreased the size of the battery.
You could have a smartphone with dumbphone battery life if you made the thing a few millimeters thicker. They won't do that though, because so many normies buy things only on looks.

Apple MacBook with Retina Display doesn't have this problem :)
Why the fuck does Google keep doing this shit? People want their phones to get updates. The primary reason people bought phones like the Nexus is because it meant they wouldn't be at the updating whims of a separate manufacturer who might just decide NOT to update the OS anymore, and now Google's doing the same thing.
It's like they have zero understanding of the people who buy their phones now. They used to have, bar none, the best mid-range phones in the market. Now they're overpriced, have zero expandable storage, and are going to start following the early-deprecation schedule of almost every other phone manufacturer.
my friend said he wanted to buy one because "it looks cool"
the average consumer is retarded and wont care about updates
The Apple iPhone doesn't have this problem.
they want you to buy their newest product like a good goy
Anyone ever get redirected to pages like this? It happens every so often for me on mainstream websites (reddit, cnn, startpage.lenovo, etc) and it's always from a different address.
just download the patch, you need it. its a new firefox update
>>60129887
Fucking this, can't believe you haven't patched yet. What a noob.
>>60129874
This patch contains a critical security update for firefox. Some websites detect outdated browser versions and redirect you to the patch.

How do we normalize normies to Linux?
https://quotes.k0nsl.org/the-bug-known-as-bash.html
Linux is the last free bastion of hope for straight white men. Let's keep it that way.
by making linux users not push normies away
this won't happen soon, linux has too much young users: secret snowflake club thoughts are going on
and force small developers to stop making just passable software
why do you guys act like special snowflakes for using Linux.
You aren't special for using it.
It's getting smarter...
soon we'll be solving protein chain foldings for captchas
post yfw you're training the botnet every time you post
>>60129414
Why didn't you also select the three blocks beside it which also contain street sign?
>>60129414
It's actually amino acid chains, it's not a protein until its folded
Why are there so many pajeets working in IT everywhere?
They come extremely cheap and management either doesn't care or is too stupid to see their degrees are from diploma mills and their resumes are forged
>>60129218
They have a big outsourcing industry, which motivates them to take up computer science in college, which further expands the industry and the cycle goes on.
Cheap labor, and India is 12 hours time difference so they can be tech support while north America is asleep
My office is flooded with "engineers" who are Indian. I was asked to send someone a command they needed to run, and I foolishly started the statement with $ as is standard when representing that it's meant to run in a terminal window.
I spent half a day debugging why "the command didn't work" when I finally learned he was including the $ in it
They have zero capacity for actual technical understanding. Absolutely infuriating.
