desu I'd pay to type on this, and that's exactly what those guys do.

Now certainly the prices are quite steep and many actors are making outrageous amounts of money out of something that should be in fact pretty affordable, and I guess they're all overpaying for what they get, but it's not like they could get anything better anyway.

>>

I already had no doubts of ETH reaching mainstream attention and rising in price. It still has a long way to go. But its application with the Blockchain technology and smart contracts is a very interesting concepts and now I'm seeing people doing shit what Ethereum is doing.

https://gnunet.org/user-handbook

GNUnet is a Windows file sharing application whose purpose is to offer a secure peer-to-peer networking, anonymous publication and retrieval of individual files, and search results with thumbnail preview.

The framework gives you the option to make use of several features, such as link encryption, peer discovery, TCP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, WLAN and Bluetooth connections, and network statistics. The utility employs an anonymous protocol for sharing files, more specifically routing queries and replies, and embeds an implementation of the GNU Name System (GNS), a private and decentralized replacement for DNS.

Spread the word anon. There is only one true king of P2P. All the others are false gods.

It's even worth it for compute heavy tasks. You can find i7 2600 systems in the $175 range.

i5 2400/2500 and i7 2600 systems are some of the best deals around. I wouldn't go lower since you're giving up a ton of performance for very little money.

i've been running windows 10 as main OS for a long ass time and dualboot arch in a 32 GB partition

i play one game which is getting ported to linux and I can watch all my chinese cartoons just fine on mpv

any important reasons not to just go balls deep and make arch main OS?

I would say there is no reason to keep using Windows if you don't need to run any exclusive software. With that said, you should just use whatever makes you comfortable.

how fucked are we exactly?

The Intel Management Engine:
>has full access to memory (without the parent CPU having any knowledge)
>has full access to the TCP/IP stack
>can send and receive network packets, even if the OS is protected by a firewall

Fuck, if the interns at these companies are getting 6 figures, what do the employees get?
>>
>>60187801
I was paid RM300 (USD$70) per month for my internship, and I was lucky; some of my classmates were paid nothing.

Many companies see interns as nothing more than free labour. The companies seen in OP are definitely the exceptions... and, of course, these companies are all making billions and can afford to pay.
