Is it a normalfag thing to have dozens of tabs open? My sister always has a bunch of tabs open on her laptop and I'm just wondering how she knows what is what. You can't even see anything besides the icon and maybe the first letter.
Maybe she's tech illiterate enough that she doesn't realize she's making tabs. Or maybe she forgets to close them. Or maybe she actually does know what is what.
I've had shitloads of tabs open for years now. I tend to have a lot of tasks running in parallel (personal projects, shit I'm trying to learn, etc) which leads to a pile of sites that are in this weird void where I need to keep them around and handy for whenever inspiration strikes, but they're not so important that I want to go through the pain in the ass of adding several tens of tabs to an already largely-unmanaged list of bookmarks.
I'm not the only one who does this. I've met several others who do the exact same thing. What this suggests to me is that there's a great need for a new browser feature that's better equipped to handle this task. Workspaces or temporary bookmarks maybe? I dunno, but plain old tabs are getting as unruly as browser windows did before tabs were a thing.

> 8 years of Android development experience
Are they looking for the founders of Android or just trying to steal Google employees with those live-in-your-car wages?
The requirements are reasonable, except for the 8+ year experience in building iOS and Android apps. They need a reminder for how long those have been around. And "working fluently" with SOAP. You can't work fluently with SOAP.

There is no reason for most people to get ATX computers. MicroATX, or even MiniITX have everything you need. The only difference between the sizes is number of drive slots and PCIe slots, and there are certainly people who need those slots, but those should be the niche, not the default, and the industry should stop treating it like the default.

>>60202812
yeah the lack of microatx (or smaller) X370 boards is a bit of a piss-off
i personally plan on eventually using SLI so i'm stuck going with an ATX board

What are you're tech tools you have on hand? I have a few Leatherman(pic related, most recent buy) and a cybertool Sak. Also keep a janky USB soldering iron on hand, and a few ifixit screwdriver sets and tweezers.
What does /g/ keep in their laptop bags?
>>60200888
>USB soldering iron
How well does it work? USB can do 2.1 A with 5V so you can get like 10 watts out of it? can that even work for a soldering iron?
Also, I've been wating to get a leatherman signal multitool for a while but I'm short on cash atm
Phillips and flathead screwdrivers are all I need bruh
Also a multi meter
>>60200957
It's fine for very small jobs. All I've used it for so far is putting a new battery on a gameboy game(pokemon red)
Don't get the signal. It's junk. If you're cheap, sidekick. If you want something to last a long time, wave. Best value? Rebar.

Is the revolution upon us, ladies and gentlemen?
>>60192040
No, it isn't, because you aren't going to see Windows 10 S on anything but prebuilts sold to schools, and you can pay MS to "upgrade" it to Windows 10 Pro anyway.
>>60192040

Nice and tidy.
The loose charging cable bothers me somewhat, maybe mainly because I do that myself as well.
Would be god tier if you hung a TV above the displays and had a reclining sofa for viewing it from further away.
>>60191262
The charging cable usually isn't hanging down like that, I forgot to put it back up onto the desk after cleaning a bit.
I do have a couch, actually. Some kind of TV or projector is on the to-do list. Leaning towards projector, though I'll probably hold off on it until I move.
You should remove that glass top from your desk.
>>60191319
I see. Convenience of a TV is unrivaled, though.
>You should remove that glass top from your desk.
Before that I should learn to be gentle with my desks. It would look horrible within a year. Glass is easier to keep clean and won't scratch/get dinked easily. :) Especially when the desk is Ikeawood...
For the non-minimalists,
what is your reason for using GNOME or Unity over KDE5? Have you tried sitting down and configure it to your liking before rejecting it?
I just like how it is.
>>60190243
I tried KDE 5 a couple of times with a different approach. I like its built in features such as kde connect and how you can customize it but I still finds myself going back to GNOME. I don't know, I seems to prefer how GNOME behave and works. Still, Plasma would be my choice if I had to ditch my crurent DE away.
